klehner 387 Report post Posted June 17, 2019 (edited) According to that serial liar (or so I'm told) Rob Koll: Quote Kyle Dake will wrestle for his spot for the National Team on August 17. Kyle suffered an injury earlier in the year and only recently has been able to train at the level necessary to prepare for the WTT’s. No site has yet been selected. He also had some things to say about Yianni and the path forward, but since he really can't be believed, I won't repeat it. misterc 42 Report post Posted June 17, 2019 So, if true, it sounds like he'll be wrestling the earliest he is medically cleared to.
pamela 1,334 Report post Posted June 17, 2019 If you're Alex Dieringer do you participate in an international tournament between now and the wrestle-off as a tuneup? Is he allowed? I'm guessing there's no time and maybe not worth the risk but it would be great to see him log some additional matches before Worlds.

NJDan 565 Report post Posted June 17, 2019 I don't think there is anything new, but this is what Koll said about Yianni: " Yianni Diakomihalis won the US Open but lost both his matches in the Final X, which determines who will represent the US at the Senior World Championships. In the second match Yianni was winning when the final buzzer sounded. In what I consider one of the more egregious misapplications of the rules, or total disregard for the rules, the match was overturned in protest. Without going into too much detail we have filed our official protest to the appropriate parties and are hopeful that the results of the second match will be overturned and Yianni will have an opportunity to wrestle the third and final bout. If our protest is denied Yianni will continue to prepare for the Olympic Trials."
TFBJR 375 Report post Posted June 18, 2019 They should have to wrestle at Rutgers. Neutral site. Possibly the only place they could draw any kind of a crowd other than OK and Ithaca.
de4856 359 Report post Posted June 19, 2019 Well, since we are sending our team to Yasar Dogu, (July 11-14 ), I would have to believe that Ringer will be making that trip as well.
Sstern 106 Report post Posted June 19, 2019 New Covelli Center at TOSU. Neutral midpoint. Would be a great way to get that place started. 1 Jon_Kozak reacted to this
tbert 560 Report post Posted June 19, 2019 I must of missed the official announcement. Has USAW or their partner Flowrestling made one?

It's almost not fair, they have Willis and the ex moderator monitoring the boards. Wont be able to slip anything by them.
gowrestle 633 Report post Posted June 24, 2019 Interesting that Koll is not held in high respect by many. He is definitely an interesting fellow.
scribe 1,655 Report post Posted June 24, 2019 Wrestling has a lot of bitter Betty’s as fans. Koll’s legacy will take care of itself, as it does for others. 1 Housebuye reacted to this
