Tough break for Jake Woodley but.... it's Bo Nickal.  I think the 92kg bracket at U23's will actually be quite strong.

Yeah I like Woodley and am on OSU fan, but Nickal is going to pin him in a minute.

Interesting to see this for a guy who is committed to MMA after one cycle. And it's also EXPECTED that it's 92 and not 86 kg.

FIFY

Bo has said several times he is not going 86 despite what anyone and everyone seemingly wants him to do. His intentions are 97kg next year.

Accept it.

Accept what? I truly couldn't care less. He's a nonfactor at either weight next year.

You should care, don’t be so quick to brush him off. It’s ashame he refuses to go down. He could probably medal at 86 right now. It takes one injury on Taylor’s side and Bo would be a fantastic replacement in 2020. He’d be a hell of a lot better than Downey.

Bo is amazing, but he hasn’t focused in freestyle. He could medal at 86kg this year, but he would be a pretty significant underdog to 3 or so guys at worlds. He doesn’t have any freestyle wins over a ranked opponent.

He would smash Downey. I doubt he would give up a point. Terrible style matchup for Downey. Bo is better everywhere.

Can cox go down and challenge bo? Aren’t they the same age?

I think the special wrestleoff was only for Final X runner ups. Also Bo is wrestling 92 so Cox wouldn’t need to go down. I’m assuming you can’t change weights anyways at this point. Cox is also 24 right now so he isn’t eligible for U23. He was last year

My distain for Downey outweighs my distain for Bo so I’m going to agree with this. Pretty sure Bo would pin/tech Downey in less than 90 seconds.
