You can see net immigration rates here. As you can see, the US rate is right in line with that of most European countries and lower than many (Spain, Norway, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ireland).

the rates are in line yes.

i agree.

but look a little deeper. the numbers... they tell the story... all those little anecdotes ,that you hate, when you put them together they make statistics

I am sure you'll claim it all the bankers fault, no matter that Fannie and Freddie lowered their lending standards and starting accepting sub prime as early as 1992. The demand that banks lend, lend, lend of course led to risky loans. But what were they to do when faced with threats of being accused of racism?

You can't give people who have a hard time saving enough money to buy a Happy Meal a $200K house and think it will work out just fine.

Read this article from the very left leaning The Atlantic.

The author works at AEI, the most influential right wing think tank in the country, largely funded by big finance. It's literally his job to come up with excuses for Wall Street.

This is true, but he was responding to the chief excuse maker for government policy surrounding the financial crisis, one Barney "Let's Roll The Dice a Little Here" Frank. And he at least quotes Barney Frank, thus clearly illustrating the governments role in the crisis.

This is going nowhere. I am never going to convince you that socialism eventually always becomes a destructive force on people and you'll never convince me to vote for a "democrat socialist". Peace.

btw, as im trying to find a number for the actual number of us citizens who leave... it's interesting that they cant really nail it down, and the reasons are many.

a common thread: most are out... trying to make a buck... and then come back... hmmm

so are they really leaving.

I have a conspiracy theory that dake and koll planned this whole recent charade in advance to accomplish two goals. One was obviously to mess with dieringer to an extent and the other is to now force the USA wrestling leadership to revisit the perks given to returning world medalists. While it is playing into dake's hands like never before seen this season, a rule change limiting the rights of the standing guy may actually help dake in 2020 when he has to drop to 74kg to face off with Burroughs. What if this was all part of a long con designed to help him not just this year but maybe next year for the Olympic trials as well?

This was really enlightening...

as an innocent bystander with no party affiliation and not condoning any personal attacks/name calling- I would say QC seemed to  make the strongest points and to be the most well versed on global socioeconomics.

But I digress...

oh and coach J- with the almost infinite amount of hotties out there you sent us an old pic of Halle Berry (not to say she wasn’t smoking.) Is that from a pierce brosnan James Bond movie? Go to the chive and bring back some goodies...

Lol, I hope you're trolling. 98 % of extremist murders in this country come from far right extremists (according to the ADL https://www.adl.org/murder-and-extremism-2018#the-perpetrators). The other 2% came from islamist extremists (who themselves are right wing in their ideology). Antifa was responsible for 0 deaths. It's ridiculous to complain about Antifa throwing milkshakes on people when there are right wing extremists ACTUALLY killing people right now. Also, if you are actually familiar with the situation in Portland, you'd know that the Proud Boys and Paramilitary Groups are the instigators. They come into Portland and shout slurs and beat up random people all the time in the hopes of drawing Antifa to counterprotest, so they can play victim and raise money. The "journalist" who got milkshaked and roughed up is a right-wing provocateur that has repeatedly doxxed people online leading to death threats and actual violence. He went to the Antifa counterprotest with the explicit intent to get roughed up, so he could raise money on gofundme. It's literally how he makes all of his money. He had his fund up and running within like 15 minutes of the incident and has raised almost 200k from this incident alone. The lack of critical thinking in the American mind is a crisis at this point.

Btw, the cement milkshakes thing was quickly debunked and was sourced back to a single anonymous email "leak" to the Portland Police Department that was clearly a troll attempt. It doesn't make logical sense either. You can't mix cement in a paper cup and sugar actually ruins cement. Further more, you can clearly see in the pictures that the milkshakes were white and smooth. They would have been grey and lumpy if mixed with cement. Also, people were taking sips out of them. Just stupid uncritical spreading of an obvious hoax by ignorant, gullible rubes.

You definitely are a commie!

btw, i made a mistake in my numbers

pop of US 327,000,000 /1000 = 327,000 x 3.9 = 1,275,300   net gain for the US

france 66,900,000 / 1000 = 66,900 X 1.1 = 73,590

the gap becomes even larger.

rates dont tell the story.

the US is the bastion of freedom in the world

So you do or don’t like that the US is the “bastion of freedom?” Or - you like that it is but don’t want anyone else to enjoy freedom that are being persecuted in other countries?

i like that it is the bastion of freedom. b/c that means that I am free.

someone was trying to tell me that there are all these people leaving...

many said they would if a certain someone was elected...but didn't live up to that promise.

He/She's acting like a toddler?

I've rarely seen one person make another appear so foolish, and do as courteously as QC has.  I'm a bit in awe, frankly.

Penn State fans have gone a bit over the top with the Cornell hatred on this thread.  A bit disappointed to see.  Hypocrisy isn't a good look.

Has Coulter's claim that the AG school is not real Cornell ever been disputed?

As a far-left-wing guy, and a Cornell ILR grad (which is a land-grant college, like Ag), I will say two things.

1) The land-grant colleges are obviously real Cornell, Coulter knows they are and was trolling.

2) Keith Olbermann sputtering and bringing his diploma to Countdown to yell about it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

VERY good trolling. Clean knockout by Coulter.
