Yasar Dogu 4am Friday (results will be in this thread)

Recommended Posts

Yianni appeared to be surprised when he gave up four, on one of his single leg defense roll throughs. Looks like he thought he should have had two. Big swing on that call.

Cautioned out. Dude was gassed 1 minute into the 2nd period. Essentially, the same as DQ by stalling in NCAA wrestling.

I never saw a guy gas that bad at this level. He was dead on his feet.

gassing seems to be a problem for the rest of the world. I remember last worlds posters on flow from other country's threw out accusations about our boys stamina.

Fake news.  Everybody knows healthcare, particularly pharmaceuticals, is priced out of reach in the USA.

Musukaev is tough... but not "dig yourself a 9-0 hole in the first period" tough.  Shades of Logan Stieber in that match.  Sure, Yianni won, but relying on comebacks like that is a dangerous recipe.

Understand what you mean but Yianni and Logan are very different wrestlers. Yianni is still developing his offense and is more dynamic defensively so I don’t see it being a trend for him.

The reshots and scramble escapes by Musukaev in the first were insanely quick...

Totally agree.  He was lightning fast.  And explosive.  Very impressive.  If he gains a gas tank ... wow.

its funny, the 4 yanni gave up was eerily similar to the 4 he scored on zain.

yet he didn't think it should have been scored.

Are you serious?

ringer gonna have trouble with dake.

dakes D is excellent and ringer had trouble scoring on this guy...

I'm just guessing based on how sloppy Dake looked against mediocre competition in Spain versus what Ringer is now doing.  I think Ringer will be well game-planned for Dake's freaky defense; will Dake have any rhythm/timing for the wrestle-off?  Will be very interesting.

I think he was questioning the 2 they gave after the 4 was scored.

What? They were not alike. Vs. Musukaev he was defending a single leg. Vs. Zain he had Zain wrapped on his back and he rolled thru. Two totaly different positions as I recall them.

Interesting that his finals match is with this guy.  HAJI MOHAMAD ALI  from Brunei.  I wonder if he is really from there.

I lived in Asia for 14 years.  Never knew a Brunei as a wrestling power.  Who knew.
