Although Wikipedia notes 41 nations represented, which countries truly have more than 2 or 3 medal contenders?

USA, Cuba, Canada, Brazil, Mexico.....Who else?

USA probably wins it rather easily.

So who from USA has the toughest time placing??

Exactly, Torreblanca from Cuba, who always gives Taylor tough matches and Tobier, who is a world medal contender.

There are also Ortega at 57 kg and Franklin Gomez at 74 kg.

Also, starting in 2021 there's going to be a Junior Pan American Games for athletes 18-21 in Cali, Columbia.

For about 20 years there's been a U20 Pan Am event but just for track and field. This will be for all sports, including wrestling.

Anyone know who is definitely competing (or not competing) at  Pan Ams? 

Don't think the US team has been announced yet, but sometimes this stuff trickles out through social media.

Downey should focus on winning a single match before winning a medal.  Two guys that will be in his bracket already beat him this year...

Downey looked like he went to cuba for a vacation between the trials and his last tournament. The trials he was in shape and gritty winning all the close ones, opposite true in turkey. An in shape trained downey can reverse these matches

Couldn't agree more. Went through the motions with no purpose or heart in Turkey. Has yet to win an international match. Glad to see he cut his hair.  Maybe he'll be able to see next week.

He is putting in the work in the best room he's ever been in right now. Was it.nit the first time he'd been at the OTC in that capacity? Difference in training styles takes adjusting to.

I trust our coaching staff to give us the best possible chance to medal at 86kg.
