I am interested to see how Walz and Deakin do and won't be surprised if either outplace their US rival.

I believe Marstellar can surprise some people if he gets back to 74kg. Too short for 79kg and well too short for 86kg(next year if not 74).

Graff, Jackson, Macc... just a solid team.

I expect Steveson to win easily.

Yeah, agree on Marsteller
Deakin outplacing Green wouldn't shock me (Green has looked rough)

But Gable winning easily? Have brackets been released? I thought historically heavy was pretty decent here. (A few top 15 guys)

Also i bet we notch at least 1 upset over a top 20 wrestler. :) just no idea what weight. Probably Perelli, hes always a lock for 1 solid win before being teched next match.

Glad to see Molinaro also.
Graff can beat anyone when hes on. But he always has massive hiccups i dont understand.

I have that much faith in Gable. I full-on believe he has something to prove and his lapse with Cassar and Gwiz are pure mental. Unless one of the Big 3 show, and maybe even then, I got Steveson handily.

Really hoping Graff’s hiccups are resolved since his (recent) move to the njrtc. It was a mental thing for him I think, so maybe Reece got through to him in a way others couldn’t.

Can’t wait to see what happens

If Nate Jackson learned some par terre offense he would be scary.  He has been wrecking dudes with his doubles.  Very impressive so far.

He can still fill out a bit it seems too.

It's nice seeing folks raw like Jackson and Zillmer still progress after college.

This event is barely being reported on in the entire world. The UWW site notes its existence but has nothing about it. Worldwide there’s been a few articles from India and one ESPN article. USA wrestling so far only reported on yesterday’s action. What’s up with that ?

Yeah some of our "lesser" A team members, a couple B's, and several distant C's.

Overall this team gets a C minus.
And man it concerns me how weak we are at 61kg and 70kg. Green used to be a lock to medal and now,.....
61kg I just have no faith but maybe he'll pull a Colon. Miracles happen

We could really use Suriano and Micic here at 61kg.  But the sad reality is they choose not to.  Maybe there will be some more youth from 133 NCAA talent that choose to go freestyle, at least I hope.  70kg is even a tougher situation for us.  A lot of the best guys, around 70kg domestically, competed against Green and he beat them.  Maybe Hidlay here?

I wonder if Green goes 74kg after 2020 if JB hangs them up.

I watched the match, Steveson hit a blast double to Rakhimovs back. As they hit the ground Gables hand was out and they went 1 for the other guy which really confuse me. It was challenged and Gable down 0-2. Stepped in on a bear hug and got thrown to his back (same way he lost to this guy at junior worlds). from there just trying to play catch up.
