Big 10 Tickets

Recommended Posts

If you email the athletic department they should be able to give you some info on when it will tentatively happen.  But until football season nears the end I’m sure they aren’t to concerned about winter sports conference finals.

Why is it at Rutgers, when they are the newest member of the Big10, when Nebraska hasn't hosted, and has been a member 8 or 9 years. What is the upcoming rotation?

Not sure of the answer on this one, but I sure am happy it will be at Rutgers as that’s just a short drive away.

Does anyone know what kind of attendance the Big 10  Championships get.

The RAC is relatively small (8000 seats I believe).

I know when it was first announced that Rutgers would host the championship,

a lot of people around north Jersey where i live, thought they should consider

holding it at a larger arena, like the Prudential Center  or Izod, especially since by then

American Dream will be open.

Sold out last year at Minnesota where the arena holds over 14K.

Some random data from the internet:

2001, 2011 – Northwestern – Smaller facility than the RAC

2004 2015 – tOSU – Smaller facility than the RAC

2016 – Iowa City  -  Attendance (all session): 45,306 - 4 sessions

2017 - The combined attendance was 16,357.  BLOOMINGTON, Ind.

2018 - Sunday's session attendance was 6,392 - EAST LANSING, Mich

2019 - Sunday’s attendance at the Barn was announced at 11,947 – Minnesota

Looks like the B1G is leaving almost 4,000 seats on the table versus Iowa, Minny.

Unfortunately Big 10s are the same weekend as NJ states. It may still sell out but that’s is going to have a big affect on ticket sales.

They have moved up NJSIAA to end Saturday (did it also 2019) so people can see B1G Sunday.
