Snyder will never beat Sadulaev again

The Leopard of Juybar vs Snyder is the match I'd love to see.

Me too...In Rio Olympics, we just missed the opportunity of seeing that. In Rio, I was hoping Reza Yazdani to meet Snyder in finals, until officials favoured Khetag Gazuyumov over Yazdani in that controversial quarter final match.

I think Snyder vs Reza Yazdani,  Sad vs Gatsalov will be the matches to look out for in 97kg in Nur-Sultan. No wonder if we get to see these as early as first round as both Yazdani and Gatsalov not seeded.

By the way - my take on Snyderalev III, its  Sadulaev, hands down! I also doubt whether Snyder can ever beat Sad again!

I think "never" is ignoring reality. Snyder is not the wrestler Sadulaev is on the technical level.

He's stronger and more physical and can last the whole match going all out - don't know if his opponent can do that. If he can push Sadulaev without getting himself too far behind he should be able to horse him and force mistakes so he can take advantage of them. He has a lot of pride and I think that and his heart will give him some victories over the next 3-5 years.

A great rivalry.

Their first match went down to the wire score wise.   It was too close.  Snyder just wore him out.  The second match ended too soon.  Sad hit that roll perfectly.    That won't happen again in my opinion.  So it will be a matter of if KS can defend takedown attempts and turn attempts and score some of his own.  KS is the underdog this year because he lost last year, but I think he is the only one that can beat Sad.  I am confident they have a strategy that does not include draping arms around the gut forever.

I'm going to go on a limb and say that Snyder drops his quarterfinal match, and his opponent then loses in the semi, knocking him out of a medal.  Fast forward to next year and its finally Snyderlaev III, and KS wins his second olympic gold before he is even able to rent a car.

If it's God's will Snyder will win.

Based on social media posts by my Evangelical friends, I'm pretty sure it's God's "Will" these days (capital W). I could be conflating His pronouns with His Intentions - I dunno, it's a living language, and I Hate to grammar shame...

Nobody has made this point yet, but the change in weigh in rules takes away the one advantage Snyder had back in 2017, sheer horsepower.  He used to walk around 230 plus and rehydrate back to that, With the new weigh in rules he’s had to shrink his body whereas Sad has bulked up and they are on much more equal footing size wise.

It's a good point, and there is a notable difference in Snyder's physique.  Still an animal, of course, just a little slimmer.

One point of etiquette, saying "will never beat so and so again" is what you say after someone beats someone for the first time after a series of loses, not about people who are 1-1.

The topic pisses me off because its a cowardly prediction masked as a bold proclamation.

How can you, of all people, not identify trolling?

How is it a cowardly prediction? It takes more courage to say it when it is 1-1 versus 0-2

I heard an NPR radio show several years ago about the theory/philosophy of trolling. I did some googling and couldn't find a link, sorry.

Notable was the misnomer of the troll being the pest under the bridge shaking people down.

Instead, "trolling" was derived from the action of dragging the bottom of a river to stir up the sediment. Though this action is usually done while looking for something very specific, other things can also be uncovered. In the case of internet trolling: biases, old sentiment, old ideas that were once laid to rest but again agitated.

I can appreciate a good troll job.
