Add OT to medal matches; Limit Challenges to 60 seconds

They should really allow one minute or sudden victory OT at least in medal matches. Whatever time that adds  could be re-gained by limiting challenges  to one minute. Some of these challenges take  almost as long as a match, with the Yianni-Zain match being among the worst examples. If they can't see a flaw in the ref's call in 60 seconds, the call should stand.

Yes and yes. Even better, get rid of criteria altogether.

Agreed. I would be okay with even keeping a criteria system to say listen, you have a 30 second OT period and if you DON'T score you lose. At least give a chance to response to a step out to tie a match with 1 second left where you can't possibly respond

You  mean the criteria loser would have to score? Why not go a minute and if no one scores,  then you apply criteria. 

Of course,  the criteria  winner should be awarded one  point so no one  "wins" by a 3-3 score.
