Spladle88 24 Report post Posted October 23, 2019 And by the way its nearly midnite.... less than 48 hours from wrestleoffs/ intrasquad and dead silence on website and from SID on the event....
witwhiz 45 Report post Posted October 23, 2019 Up until a day or two ago the LU schedule was showing a dual against Oklahoma in South Beach even though Oklahoma had long ago bowed out and was replaced by Missouri. Then the schedule was briefly amended to show a dual against Missouri. Then the Missouri dual was deleted. But Missouri's schedule shows a dual against LU. I guess this is what the journalists call a "fluid situation." As for the LU alum's inquiry about The Oracle, I think I heard he's in Delphi. Or was it Philadelphia? Frank_Rizzo 336 Report post Posted October 23, 2019 It's a shame Lehigh discontinued the video webcast of their wrestle-offs. Fans are really starved for action this time of year. It's almost as if Lehigh thinks they're preventing their guys from getting scouting. Someone should tell them Flo has matches of their entire roster stretching back to middle school available on-demand, 24/7/365.

The great debate among LU fans is and has been to what extent the discontinuation is designed to boost attendance at the event and/or to keep these bouts "top secret". Only the wrestlers' hairdresser knows for sure.
Frenchie 1 Report post Posted October 23, 2019 Definitely disappointed that Wrestleoffs will not be streamed. It's never an amazing watch, but it gives us a chance to see new recruits in action as well as look at the team as a whole. I'm five hours away (with "normal" traffic) and taking in effect two days off to watch this event is a non-starter- not to mention that I have two small kids. Being able to watch the team online help[s me stay a part of the program. 1 Frank_Rizzo reacted to this

LU in the Hub 1 Report post Posted October 24, 2019 (edited) 125 – Brandon Paetzell vs. Mitchell Polito (or Luke Resnick) 133 – Jaret Lane vs. Joe Lobeck 133 – Connor McGonagle vs. Nick Farro 141 – Ryan Pomrinca vs. Malyke Hines 149 – Jimmy Hoffman vs. Luke Karam 157 – A.J. Burkhart vs. Josh Humphreys 165 – Chase Gallik vs. Brian Meyer 165 – Luca Frinzi vs. Trey Cornish Edmond Ruth vs. Kent Lane Jake Logan vs. Andrew Shedleski 184 – Chris Weiler vs. Eli Grape 197 – Elijah Jones vs. Andrew McDonald Pretty interesting slate of matches. There's a good amount of talent on the team, but it remains to be seen if any of the guys beyond Kutler and Wood can up their game to the AA level. High hopes for Humphries, who came close last year, as well as Jake, Weiler and the returning Karam. Paetzell, Lobeck and Farro have always been solid, hopefully one of them can make a breakthrough. Several intriguing Freshmen who will probably redshirt. Edited October 24, 2019 by LU in the Hub omission
Frank_Rizzo 336 Report post Posted October 24, 2019 McGonagle, Hines, and Ruth are all redshirting.
Spladle88 24 Report post Posted October 24, 2019 (edited) You sure about McGonagle? Seems strange he is wrestling Farro in wrestle offs if he is definitely shirting, you'd think he'd wrestle LoBeck or Lane if he was going to red shirt........but who knows.......I would admit it would make sense, unless he is clearly better than Farro....... D3 for LU 58 Report post Posted October 24, 2019 (edited) 133 | Jaret Lane vs. Joe Lobeck, first of two bouts @133... Lobeck a couple TDs leads 4-1 after one. He's down to begin the second. Lobeck up 5-1 after two. Lane takes neutral. Rally for young Jaret as a Big 3rd period for Lane. 2 TDs and a 2 near fall give him a 7-6 win.
