Obviously reflecting 4 years but funny to see Danny Mack Gable not in the ISU top 4.
or Nate Carr for that matter (Nate had 4 chances though)
Great stuff though.

This title needs to be rewritten as "Iowa State wrestlers ranked by their NCAA placings".

Clearly, Taylor and Jean aren't tied at 33/34 if you're talking about the top (i.e. best) wrestlers.

Did  Taylor wrestle only 2 years? If so, why?

Someone is missing some brain cells here.

Danny Gable should be #2 on this list.

These NJ wrestling rankings systemically downgrade wrestlers from freshman-ineligible years (such as Gable) since they can only gain points in three year, not four, no matter how well they do in their three years.

funny looking at it though if you take only best three years, Gable is is in a tie with a bunch of guys for 4th on the list. Darn that Larry Owings.

Nate didn't red-shirt ( was pretty dominant as a true freshman).

Eight minute matches in those days 2-3-3.....Lord help you if your opponent chose top in the second and threw the legs in right away.

Of course, Gable didn't ascend to varsity status as a freshman due to the rules at the time.
