What is going on with Teske? A 4x Iowa champ should surely be able to beat a kid like Schnupp? Teske beat Chauvin from Army in the Rd of 16 at the Black Knight this morning. Chauvin was ranked in h.s. at Lake Highland Prep and once lost 5-4 in a Walsh Ironman semi final, so he isn't chopped liver. Teske had about 4 minutes of riding time when he tilted Chauvin to take an 18-4 lead and then pinned him to finish it off. So at least he's got that going for him. 1 2 nhs67, leshismore and Perry reacted to this

I thought it was a fairly decent day for Teske overall... seemed like another tough day for Schnupp though - even lost to Meredith.

Schnupp's other loss was to their starter 3-1. Maybe Meredith should be the starter? He teched Chauvin, although he lost to Medley who Teske beat. Meredith did pin Girard of Bloomsburg who was an NCAA qualifier last year.

I actually think that overall Teske probably looked the best of the three PSU 125 wrestlers. He is the one that came back for 3rd, plus losing to Hildebrandt is not a "bad" loss. He is much better from both top and bottom than Schnupp, and somewhat better than Meredith from top and bottom, imo. I would also bet he took far more legit shots in this tourney than the others, so he is more aggressive on his feet as well.
