TBar1977 4,539 Report post Posted November 18, 2019 Curious to see Degen vs Lugo and David Carr vs Kaleb Young. Iowa will win the dual, but some good matches on tap.
steamboat_charlie v2 1,160 Report post Posted November 18, 2019 How close is Gomez to getting down to weight? I don't really see a path to this being a close dual without him in there. Very slim chance... but maybe something like this is possible? 125) Lee dec. Mackall -- 3-0 Iowa 133) Gomez pin Glynn -- 6-3 ISU 141) DeSanto dec. Parker -- 6-6 Tie 149) Degen dec. Lugo -- 9-6 ISU 157) Carr dec. Young -- 12-6 ISU 165) Marinelli dec. Straw -- 12-9 ISU 174) Kemerer dec. Coleman -- 12-12 Tie 184) Colbray dec. Wilcke/Brands -- 15-12 ISU 197) Warner dec. Shapiro -- 15-15 Tie 285) Gremmel dec. Cassioppi -- 18-15 ISU

Cass beats Gremmel 8 or 9 times out of 10 anyway, IMO. Without those two there's basically a zero percent chance.

Ian Parker did once beat dean heil and he beat Gomez in wrestle offs , Moore pinning sasso would be a bigger upset then Parker beating Gomez so you never know actually just checked Ian Parker is 1-0 against desanto beat him 7-5 when he was at Drexel Edited November 18, 2019 by Antitroll2828

Housebuye 2,438 Report post Posted November 19, 2019 Gremmel can compete 125) Lee dec. Mackall -- 4-0 Iowa 133) Small dec. Glynn -- 4-3 Iowa 141) DeSanto dec. Parker -- 7-3 Iowa 149) Degen dec. Lugo -- 7-6 Iowa 157) Carr dec. Young -- 7-9 ISU 165) Marinelli dec. Straw -- 10-9 Iowa 174) Kemerer tech Coleman -- 16-9 Iowa 184) Colbray dec. Wilcke/Brands -- 16-12 Iowa 197) Warner dec. Shapiro -- 19-12 Iowa 285) Cassioppi pin Gremmel-- 25-12 Iowa Even with ISU winning 4 matches, they don't have the bonus to keep up. Having Gomez in the lineup would be very helpful. 133, 141, 149, 184, and 197 could be flipped. Good dual with Iowa as a 2.5:1 favorite imo

LemonPie 1,368 Report post Posted November 19, 2019 If Gomez certified for 133 but can’t wrestle that weight until January, his body fat must have been over 25%. Sounds like one hell of an offseason

Lee Teasdale DeSanto Lugo Young Bull Kemdawg Cashe Warner Cass Teasdale just lost to a D3 guy 6-3. Not sure if he got taken down a few times or what, but I would think Todd Small would beat him right now. Glynn might be the better decision for Iowa today. I know Teasdale beats him in the room. I think DeSanto would AA at 141, but he is better suited for 133 I think. He is a title contender at 133. I think I’ll pick Gross over him, but that is a winnable match for Desanto. At 141 I have 4 or 5 ahead of him.
