moveurfeet32 62 Report post Posted November 27, 2019 (edited) Everyone said when TnT got a hold of him he would get better? Couldn't be farther from reality..He's a flat out punk on the mat and embarrasses Iowa Wrestling in every one of his matches! Tom knows that and you know he and Iowa fans hate it but Tom just doesn't have the balls to deal with him! If I remember correctly, Terry had a few incidents in his college years. It all ended up OK. 11 minutes ago, moveurfeet32 said: Just another example of Iowa Wrestling not having any Integrity under TnT. This has been said on here about Metcalf, Ramos, Gilman, and others and you know what? The world didnt end. It turns out that a little extra fire on the mat does not mean you are bound to be an ax murderer upon graduation. Now relax, stop clenching your pearls and enjoy a pretty damn exciting athlete in Desanto Edited November 27, 2019 by russelscout 6 HoundedHawk, websterk149, mg113 and 3 others reacted to this

If anyone besides desanto did that itd be fine.
Cptafw164 96 Report post Posted November 27, 2019 Desanto is like how brands was when he was in college. He pinned an OKSU opponent then pointed with both hands to his pinned opponent and yelled in his face. not great behavior but both desanto and brands probably have some chemical imbalances that get stimulated when they step on the mat. Gives new meaning to “crazy good.” 2 herma48852 and LCpl Schmuckatelli reacted to this
82bordeaux 90 Report post Posted November 27, 2019 It's his shtick. There are "bad boys" in every sport. It makes things interesting. Iowa fans love him, everyone else hates him, and it keeps eyeballs on his matches. But he is probably a bit of a Delta Bravo to be around in real life too. You can't turn that on and off at will. 2 silvermedal and whaletail reacted to this

AHamilton 458 Report post Posted November 27, 2019 TBH there was no issue with the l;ate takedown attempt. As an official, I would not have liked the pointing and gesticulating regarding the OOB call. That went a bit too far. But penalize him for trying to score late? What is wrong with that? Plasmodium 1,568 Report post Posted November 27, 2019 To answer the OP's question, YBYA it could be worse. He will get his come comeuppance on the mat. He looks like the kind of guy that will think he has really done something when he gets to Gross' legs. He will find out different.

TBar1977 3,757 Report post Posted November 27, 2019 If he wants to do some more Desantics vs. Gross, he should wait until the match is over. That way he can walk out of Carver in one piece. Anything early and Gross can roll him like a thin slice of thanksgiving turkey.

DeSanto has some pretty good wins in college (Suriano, Micic, Lizak). And while he has split with those guys, he has shown the ability to beat top notch talent. Combine that with the best practice partner situation in the country and I think he knows what tough competition is. As good as Gross is (and he is good), let's not pretend he's an all-time great. Yes, he may beat DeSanto. Yes, he may turn him. But maybe not- DeSanto is a pretty tough out.
