How good would Desanto be in FS?

Recommended Posts

Desanto will probably have to wait for the 2021 61kg World Team Trials, when he's done with NCAA wrestling. If 2016 is any indication, the trials for 61kg non-Olympic World Team will likely be during fall 2020, and non-Olympic Worlds will likely be in Nov/Dec 2020, during the NCAA season. I assume that Desanto will want to wrestle the full NCAA season for his senior year, not and not wrestle a truncated Kyle Snyder style season.

his scrambles suck. He ain't stalemating gross in freestyle.

lol.  Repeatedly outscrambled him.  Every takedown was contested and every position was stalemated or lost by gross.

so you are just some tool who takes his orders from the last headline?

Again a smart avatar doesnt make smart poster.

I also watched the match and Gross lost every contested position from neutral.  The match would be even more lopsided in freestyle.  Sorry that your hero lost.

LOL, mensa, the institution for people who need someone to tell them they're smart.

Well, you told me I wasn't... had to take a look at my membership card to remind me.  And my PSAT, SAT, GRE, and MAT scores.  Yes, I'm smart.

Phew.

Meanwhile, you think Gross outsrcambled DeSanto, even while working with Askren on outside ankle technique for months now.

Oops

Every takedown was contested.  Gross attempted far ankle technique and lost every time.  "Got outscambled." In folk or free...

Go to sleep, son.

If you were so smart you could stick to the topic and not rely on the last person to post strategy.

So says the last person to post...

If you were so smart, you would capitalize your name and properly punctuate.

Did Gross win any scrambles last night?

If he didn't, that makes him at least 0-4 in scrambles, does it not?

What have you seem from him that makes you believe that he is capable to outscrambling DeSanto ?

No of course not he didn't score a takedown.

But those low lifts he got would have changed a freestyle match.

I talked up desanto previously in this topic, but he isn't a freestyle scrambler. Gross barely is.

I beg to differ, his left arm was trapped. This is a technique that was shown to me by a young Stephen Abas over 15 years ago.  Very difficult to score from in any style.

Please watch again.  Tough to score with one arm.  Some might say that DeSanto had a better chance to score there in FS.
