headshuck 2,626 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 At Michigan, Sunday following Gopher’s Fri night at Michigan State. Anyone think home mat makes Parris a slight favorite?
Keisha_Phillips 37 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 No, Parris is much improved and I think has a good chance to be a finalist this year, but he is not beating gable. He is also not the favorite coming in. Gable will beat him three times this year.
TBar1977 4,599 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 Rooting for Paris, but this is Gable S.

MadMardigain 1,636 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 Don’t see Parris hitting his fireman’s dump on Gable ever. So his best shot at any legit offense is grinding Gable down a bit and hoping for his sweep single. But Parris doing that without getting taken down is a task in itself. nhs67 2,099 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 Steveson just completely outclassed Hillger last night. Not looking good for Parris, although I am definitely rooting for him.

nhs67 2,099 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 We won't see a duck. Parris, unless he is injured, will go every match. Even then he might go(ahem-broken finger). This being said Steveson has to know he needs to get a feel for Parris before NCAAs and he knows the more the better. We'll see this match.
xander 346 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 I’ll pick Steven son
treep2000 1,152 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 My two cents: * I think Steveson wins a controlled match. He's going to win the positional battles, and his athleticism can match Parris. That said. Parris is much improved over last season, which was improved from High School. Parris has the ability to keep this very close/competitive. There is an outside chance that Parris catches Gable and wins by a TD. However, that same outside chance exists for Gable catching Parris and pinning him. All of the aforementioned scenarios exist, at some varying degrees of probability, but I'm saying Gable in a 6-3 type of match (this time). Also to note, Parris' trajectory is still going UP. Even if Parris loses, this may bode well for him come Big Ten's and subsequently NCAA's. I do think this is the #1 vs. #2 in the country this year. Looking forward to it! AZ_wrestling 119 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 I don’t think it will happen. Steveson will be wrestling in Rome just two days before.

Not sure exactly what the schedule is, but the event is 15-18. Good chance he isn’t back in the US wanting to wrestle on the 19th.

MadMardigain 1,636 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 Snyder came back right after international competition to try and help OSU win a big match. Now this years Michigan isn’t exactly a big match.
JeanGuy 147 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 Watched Steveson against Hilger and thought he looked much better physically. Didn't look as doughy as in 2018-19. With improved conditioning he will be a very tough out in 2020
wamba 52 Report post Posted January 11, 2020 I won’t be shocked if Parris wins and I definitely expect Parris to beat Stevenson at least once during his college career. His progression over the last few years is pretty damn impressive and I expect Parris will have a decent size advantage over Stevenson in a year or two. Parris will beat Stevenson every time they wrestle, I'll bet the farm on it & I do actually have one. 1 simple reacted to this

He isn't allowing much time for acclimation if he leaves tomorrow night.
