TBar1977 4,599 Report post Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) 174 #1 Mark Hall vs Tyler Morland Morland reaches for his knee brace and Hall says if you are going that way then go all the way to mat with the throw by, now some nearfall and its a quick 6-0 lead. Now more nearfall and its 8-0. Motrland escapes and the period ends 8-1. 1:30 RT. Hall with the switch into a reversal and Morland is hurt. In pain. Holding his ribcage but he's ready to go. Hall on the re start takes bottom. ESC and a couple of TD's and its 15-2. Hall is able to create TD's in near slow motion that you don't think should be possible, but he makes it look easy today. Period 3 is one tilt and its over 17-2 TF. Edited January 12, 2020 by TBar1977

TBar1977 4,599 Report post Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) 184 Chreighton Edsell vs Jack Jesson Jesson leads 1-0 after 2 periods. Period 3 Edsell escapes, 1-1. Wow. Edsell with the single and he converts it for a 3-1 lead. Nice mat return. RT. It ends 4-1 Edsell. Edited January 12, 2020 by TBar1977
TBar1977 4,599 Report post Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) 197 Shakur Rasheed vs. Lucas Davison. Could be the match of the dual. Davison with recent upset of Perdue's #2 ranked Brunner and Shak still shaking off rust. Let's see what happens. Here we go. Period 1. Rasheed with a quick TD. Had to work for it, but ultra quick to the ankle. 2-0. ESC. Rasheed had a nice shot near the end but nothing. 2-1. Period 2. Davison chooses down. rasheed rides a while, then a reversal and quick escape for Rasheed. 3-3. But 1:05 RT for Shak. Period 3. Rasheed chooses down. ESC and nearly immediate TD for Davison. Another ESC. 5-5. Davison wins a late scramble and wins it 7-5. Edited January 12, 2020 by TBar1977

TBar1977 4,599 Report post Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) Hwt Seth Nevills vs Jack Heyob Nevills with the single and he sits behind for 2 and he rides out the last 50 seconds or so. 2-0. Nevills starts on bottom. Reversal and riding tough on the 225 lbs Heyob. Couple of stall calls. Period ends 5-0. Heyob chooses neutral. TD Nevills, now 7-0. He cuts him. Not sure why since he had the major if he rides him out. 7-1 now with RT locked. Well, he got close but not able to convert and he wins 8-1. pamela 1,334 Report post Posted January 12, 2020 1 hour ago, TBar1977 said: I get the impression Cael and staff want RBY to be more aggressive and going for TD's and nearfall. From what Cael said I think they believe he can produce more bonus and it looked like it worked today. 184 today is Chreighton Edsell, no Aaron Brooks. Not sure why. Yes, I will be psyched to see this version of RBY!

TBar1977 4,599 Report post Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) 125 Meredith vs DeAugustino NW won the toss today and made the call to start at 133 to get DeAugustino as much time as possible. Here we go. DeAugustino gets an early TD and riding tough. Meredith finally escapes with seconds left. 2-1 after 1. Note: Isaiah White is leading Evan Wick in period 1 of their dual. Wick now destroying White 8-2 late in the 3rd. Period 2. NW chooses down. ESC, TD, period ends 5-1. Meredith nearly converted a nice shot in the middle of that period. Period 3. Meredith chooses neutral. Meredith TD, ESC and RT and it ends 7-3. This kid Meredith has some decent neutral offense, but he struggles from bottom. Just being a dweeb, myself. Illinois had one starter out. Paul's lineup included less than half of their 'ideal' starters from what we'd thought we would see out of Penn State. WillieBoy 713 Report post Posted January 13, 2020 19 hours ago, Witherman said: I’m not sure wtf the point of duals are anymore if teams aren’t going to wrestle their starting lineups... Maybe get a good feel for guys very close in the room to see how they play out for real? Work on specific things against real competition - different goals for different wrestlers? You get to see some good wrestling and watch who may well be the starter when the top guy gets injured or whatever.
