Jury is still out to see if he actually donates to all those wrestling clubs and comes back with proof.... we may need to start thinking about replacements (at least temporarily). 1 Housebuye reacted to this

Is David Taylor loaning out his unicorn for this? Or does this leprechaun taking a chance at use one that’s not familiar with the BJC? Clearly Taylor will be busy lassoing the comet and saving mankind, so his unicorn will be free for the night. Yes, and that unicorn's name is BUBBA.
Marcus Cisero 340 Report post Posted February 10, 2020 Man everyone sure is impressed with Nick Lee this season, and rightly so - but pinning Pletcher? Unless one of these guys get caught, I predict there will be no pin. Instead I see a very tough back and forth match with Lee winning by a point or two in the end. Go PSU! 1 1 DocBZ and fadzaev2 reacted to this
1032004 816 Report post Posted February 10, 2020 I don’t see either of these guys losing 3 in a row to the other. Just not sure when each will happen.

Pretty farfetched. I really don’t think Pletcher would be riding Spencer Lee into BJC. 1 Mokoma reacted to this

My preseason or early season prediction was 2-1 split in favor of Lee. I have changed now to 3-0 Lee, with total domination once or twice. 1 2 DocBZ, Paul158 and Wrestleknownothing reacted to this

Aviator12 196 Report post Posted February 10, 2020 The difference in this Match will be Lee’s dominance from the top position. Whether that makes Pletcher go neutral and sacrifice a point, or Pletcher getting taken down and ridden out a period versus getting that crucial 1 point escape.. one of these scenarios I think will be the difference in the match and in Lee’s favor. 1 Wrestleknownothing reacted to this

All those Biblical types love this idea since Unicorns are mentioned nine times in the Bible. No mention of Cats... 1 stp reacted to this
Housebuye 2,079 Report post Posted February 10, 2020 This is working out too well. something ****ty will happen. One guy is going to get injured or take a BS loss or something, which will make this potential rivalry way less compelling. Maybe they wrestle this week, but not at NCAAs. Underhook 45 Report post Posted February 10, 2020 Hyperbole. Pletcher is a man on a mission this year. Lee could very well win, but I don’t think either guy is getting pinned unless someone brings a gun onto the mat. I expect a wild match with great scrambles that should be right up there with Hall/Kem and Joseph/Marinelli for match of the season 1 DocBZ reacted to this
Lurie92 2 Report post Posted February 10, 2020 2 points: Lee Pletcher if they end up splitting in the dual and the big ten championships, does the NCAA end at 141? Sorry to Hijack the thread, but Lee vs Mckee….McKee hitting those head pinches is why I HATE FREESTYLE SCORING. If it was FS he would have been up 8-0, and at no point did he establish control or dominance... Folk>free.

DocBZ 89 Report post Posted February 10, 2020 Lee and Pletcher have 9 common opponents this year. Lee has done better in 5 of those 9 matches. Pletcher has done better in 4 of 9. Either wrestler pinning or dominating the other seems a bit of a stretch IMO...
StallWarning 156 Report post Posted February 10, 2020 Lee vs Pletcher will be close. I doubt either runs away with any match they wrestle. I think Lee has an advantage in that he can ride anyone and punish them.
TBar1977 3,764 Report post Posted February 10, 2020 Both Lee and Pletcher look awesome this year. Anyone writing either of them off against the other is going a bridge too far. Should be a great match on Sunday.

I could also see a few other matches ending the finals, namely 165 (Vincenzo / Marinelli), 174 (Hall / Kemerer). Maybe Zahid as well as it is his last finals. 2. I see your point and I prefer folk as well but if the point is to expose your opponent like that, then under freestyle rules he actually did establish control in those situations. But I don't think Lee would have allowed himself to be exposed like that in a freestyle match.

I'd love it if you were right. But I think the only way this happens is if Pletcher is smoking your pipe with you before the match. Although what are the odds that Tan Tom doesn't send Pletcher out Saturday night. He may prefer to see round one at Rutgers on a neutral mat.
