Ching 180 Report post Posted February 25, 2020 If you are on bottom getting flattened out with a leg ride and an arm bar, wishing you life was over, the ref will continually ring you up for stalling. On the other hand, you can do pretty much whatever the heck you want on top or on your feet and never get a called. Maybe the auto-stall calls (5-seconds and leaving the mat when not scrambling) have something to do with it. It is so frustrating to watch people flee the mat on their feet and parallel ride for days.
TobusRex 2,108 Report post Posted February 25, 2020 (edited) Guys are supposed to work from the top, not just ride. If the referees let guys pull that Tony Nelson bull**** it's on the refs. I don't know how many seconds the rule states, but if a guy stuck on a spiral ride for 15 seconds or so without trying anything else he should be warned for stalling. Double boots in without any back exposure should be called twice (once for each leg) after about fifteen seconds. See Josh "one trick pony" Humphreys. D3 for LU 58 Report post Posted February 25, 2020 Can't escape legs? Practice harder, to prevent them from getting in, in the first place. Cornell still lost the dual anyway. BUT... your guys still have a chance @ Stabler coming up. So, you gotta ask yourself this question... Do ya feel lucky? ;-) D3

See Josh "one trick pony" Humphreys. Goes back to the days of Jordan "One Trick Pony" Leen and all the kids he subsequently taught. plus he was a ginger. You obviously didn't see the ASU match v Teemer the other night. Probably ought to shut your pie hole about it. goheels1812 676 Report post Posted February 25, 2020 I’m just waiting for LJB to awake from his hibernation to come yell at everyone about stalling. He’s like our resident soup nazi from Seinfeld, but with stalling. “NO STALLING FOR YOU”

Plasmodium 2,262 Report post Posted February 25, 2020 What is with the crying? The rules in folkstyle are all about mat control. Otherwise, all those sweet throws to exposure would amount to something. Nothing demonstrates control more than holding another man in a flattened position for a minute and 45 seconds.
