Amar Dhesi is through and through Canadian. He of course benefitted from the U.S. university system and level of competition, but he came up fully through the Canadian system and clubs. Just qualified Canada for the olympics in dominating fashion over a couple decent guys.

I know Igali is Nigerian ancestry and maybe was born there, but didn't he do all his wrestling development in Canada?

I know he went to Simon Fraiser

Igali came to Canada when he was in his late teens or maybe early 20's.  I think he had done a lot of traditional wrestling in Nigeria prior, but I could be wrong.

According to his Wiki, he was already an accomished freestyler when he came to Canada at 20 years old.

Accomplished is relative. Challenging for a Commonwealth Games gold isn’t quite like challenging for World and Olympic medals. His performance ramped up significantly after he defected.
