KSchlosser 98 Report post Posted March 13, 2020 Saw on facebook after a few calls this afternoon that Joe Heskett had a stroke while sleeping yesterday and is in stable condition but very serious condition in ICU. I am not a doctor or family member so I know nothing other than what I read. His uncle has provided some updates to people sending well wishes on Joe's facebook page. I do know as his friend, he and his family would appreciate all the positive thoughts and prayers the community can offer. 4 1 silvermedal, PSUSMC, pamela and 2 others reacted to this

IronChef 712 Report post Posted March 13, 2020 For those unaware, Heskett has a heart condition that ended his competitive career and resulted in him getting an internal defibrillator. This article is about Joe, even with the strange url. https://www.cleveland.com/sports/2007/10/taking_a_break_from_football.html

PSUSMC 151 Report post Posted March 14, 2020 Only a few inter-actions with him, but he was upbeat and positive each time. Hopefully he gets through this with no lasting effects of the stroke.

lu_alum 690 Report post Posted March 15, 2020 Just re-read the OP. How did they realize he was having a stroke if it occurred while sleeping? If true, he’s very fortunate to be alive. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
JerryCallo 41 Report post Posted March 15, 2020 I had heard that he was an Assistant AD at West Virginia - I guess he had moved on from there? Anyone know where he had been working?
