Well we knew it was only a matter of time before they rang that bell. Friends we are in a totally new world.

You know that I don't want to risk lives.  With that said I will be very interested if the 3 UFC events go down in the next 3 weeks.

I have been studying this virus and I really am not sure if wrestler's lives really would be risked if done correctly.  Of course we need no fans.  This virus attacks the old with fury, but I don't think a conditioned college athlete has much to worry about.

That is why I wish the NCAA would have postponed the tournament for 1 week or 2.  I mean, there still isn't one confirmed case in West Virginia.  Without fans, they could do this at some conference center at a big hotel.

Prediction...if they ever occur, they will be in CO at the Olympic Training Center with no fans .

This is exactly what I’ve been thinking. There isn’t going to be an OTT at Penn State. IF we have one it’s going to be in the Springs, essentials only, gym 2.

At the OTC sounds like a good plan, but it sounded like USAW is trying to rebook the event at the BJC. They told fans to hold onto their tix for now. Maybe their hands are a little tied contractually, or they don’t want to upset ticket holders, idk. They may also be holding off until the IOC announces something since things are unfolding so quickly.

No idea if there is any truth to it, but hearing some chatter that consideration is being given to have OTTs for some sports (including wrestling) being held at the OTC in CO with very few allowed to be in the room --- and only after being tested.  Athletes, coaches, refs, scorers, limited media and that's about it -- not even friends and family.  If tested and failed, not allowed in.  There are HIPPA concern though as any athlete who fails the test and is not allowed to compete be "outted" by the process.

Not sure if feasible, but an interesting thought.

That’s pretty much exactly what my guess would be we end up at.

That seems to be the best course of action. Would be great to see as fans (and maybe NBC will still broadcast - there is a brutal shortage of sports content these days) but it is a hell of a lot more important for the athletes than it is for the fans.
