Best NCAA Wrestler to never qualify for NCAAs

Recommended Posts

This will be a list of back-ups.  Nobody will remember a 4 year starter who didn’t qualify unless they were injured every year.

Bennett Paulson army would be a good pick if he doesn’t start next year.  Has wins by fall over many qualifiers, to include Noah Adams.

—he is actually ranked higher on WS as the THIRD STRING than the two guys ahead of him.

Alex Hopkins of army is my pick.  He has beaten over a dozen qualifiers from the past two years.

Not quite the Topic, but his senior year Dan Muthler of NAvy (NCAA champ as a soph) finished 5th in EIWA, a year before wild cards became a thing., Not injuries or shocking upsets, just a real strong weight.

Me, of course.  Can't believe no other poster has chimed in with themselves yet.

Alas, for all of the injuries...

Freshman year: Sucked
Sophomore year: Broken foot
Junior year: Torn ACL (at least I got a season's worth of matches to earn my letter)
Senior year: Broken jaw
