Coach_J 2,076 Report post Posted April 22, 2020 The '92 Olympic final was equally feisty!
2td3nf 547 Report post Posted April 22, 2020 Nice match - to the other Coach J! :D Geez, not trying to be a wise-guy, but that looked like a Greco match. 1 Coach_J reacted to this

I think Jackson was pretty beat up for the 1995 Worlds. Maybe a bum neck? He wasn't a high offensive high output guy, but I could see a significant injury really slowing him down. 1 2td3nf reacted to this
spladle 179 Report post Posted April 22, 2020 Watching Kevin Jackson wrestle is like watching paint dry. I was a fan of his but the low scoring matches were dull. 1 Jim L reacted to this

Master of holding position, blocking, not risking becoming overextended.

Jim L 268 Report post Posted April 23, 2020 Step out and shot clock rules make this a much better match. The forced par terre for passivity calls in this match seem completely arbitrary
Coach_J 2,076 Report post Posted April 23, 2020 Not gonna badmouth a World and Olympic champion who won clean. Early matches he showed his explosiveness and ability to score. Like many finals at this level at this time, these guys had each other totally scouted. This is obviously not a match to admire for its wild high scoring but rather for the will power and toughness shown by the competitors. And as mentioned above, a great example of why the push out was needed. 1 2td3nf reacted to this
