Should be hearing about assistant hirings very soon. A couple of interviews coming up this week with CP.  It is evident from the articles and interviews with athletes that there is a lot of excitement in Corvallis. Loved CP's tweet that he would pay to have a practice.

A few recent articles about the team and coach

Love this under the radar recruit - little Vidlak...but bigger than his dad.

Looks like Iowa St, Duke, Montana St. Northern and OSU meeting up in Montana

I had been hearing IMAR for awhile. Kind of surprised since he is still training. He has to have guys coming to train at the RTC. Engle is a great recruiter! Beavs steal an in conference guy.

Agreed, I am also curious how the move affects his training for the Olympic trials

The RTC was a big part to the hiring of CP so you would have to think adding IMAR is a big piece to improving the RTC. There have to be some moves happening in order for him to be at OSU and train toward the Olympics.

Who in that room is going to train with him and get him ready for the trials?  The other coaches?

Not that he had great training partners in Illinois, but I don't see anyone in that room pushing him.

Hiring Nate Engel away from Stanford is really going to hurt Stanford in recruiting.  Engel, from what I understand, was instrumental in Stanford's excellent recruiting recently.   This last season was only his 2nd season at Stanford BTW - but he was listed as only a  "Volunteer Assistant Coach".

Yep I agree completely   He was a great recruiter at Navy as well. I’m sure moving Up from the volunteer to an actual staff position was appealing.
