pamela 1,334 Report post Posted June 16, 2020 Are these all FS matches with the typical UWW rules (also, isn’t Rau a Greco guy?)? I thought I remembered hearing something about FS, single 10 min round, no push outs? The no push modification would probably play into JO’s favor. Picks (assuming standard FS): JO over Nolf Pletcher over Lugo Ness over Palacio Zane over Zach Pfarr over ZBrau Nazar over DBrau Dardanes over McKee 1 Perry reacted to this
Gantry 1,872 Report post Posted June 17, 2020 Rau is a Greco guy but has competed in freestyle as well.
JasonBryant 2,096 Report post Posted June 17, 2020 Rau and Downey were signing "Crimson & Clover" to one another DURING their third-place match at the Challenge Tournament a few years ago in Rochester. One of the stranger things I'd seen/heard, but knowing both of those guys, not really THAT surprising. Maybe they'll run it back. 1 grappler6 reacted to this
Idaho 1,344 Report post Posted June 17, 2020 Their twitter today included them wanting to do a round of freestyle and a round of greco. 1 pamela reacted to this

Relentless125 76 Report post Posted June 19, 2020 If these are actually competitive matches it might be the best wrestling event in a while and for awhile. Looking forward to it. I'd pick: JO over Nolf Pletcher over Lugo Ness over Palacio Rau over Downey Zane over Sanders ND over Mckee and Pharr Kulchytskyy BTS Chicago has been putting on a ton of great events. Rau is definitely a Greco guy, but he's also a dedicated Chicagoan (including a tatoo that's a variation of the city's flag on one of his shoulders). Housebuye 2,438 Report post Posted June 19, 2020 I’m going Nolf over JO. Nolf is bigger and his pace will wear JO out. Really excited for that one. Great matchup that I haven’t really considered

I don't see most of these matches as being close, with the exception of JO-Nolf and Pletcher-Lugo.

AKHUNTER 316 Report post Posted June 19, 2020 I really like Pletcher............ but I see Lugo coming out on top in this one. I met Pletcher's grand parents ( really good people) on the Alaska ferry going into his freshman year at Ohio St............... followed him closely after that

To be fair Pletcher could blow Lugo out of the water and still only win 2-0 1 ShakaAloha reacted to this

Right because your comment was so much more helpful wasn't it? Just not sure everyone will be wrestling to win as opposed to trying to make it entertaining for fans with some added theatrics. Hahahaha I guess a better way to say it is one of them could completely dominate the match in every aspect and still only win 2-0, meaning a takedown at the end would win it for either.
