Just have to be smart or completely irresponsible?  They’ve already cancelled the Beast of the East and now the Ironman yet these jokers think it’s a good idea to have a multi state 28 mat dual team tournament in the midst of a global pandemic.  Please justify why this competition is necessary and worth putting lives at risk.

What happened to obeying the law? This township has a clearly defined ordinance banning events such as this and the organizers and parents are willfully disobeying that. Go have the event in a location where it is lawful.

What if it was executed in the name of peaceful protest? It would be the most peaceful, with by far the most safety protocols in place, protest we’ve seen in a while. (Probably ever)

This isn’t a peaceful protest and even that is not good. These are parents and athletes competing indoors in direct violation of the town’s ordinance meant to protect public health. Imagine a thousand people coming from out of town to where you live putting the lives of you and your neighbors at risk. Extraordinarily selfish behavior by the parents and organizers. If you want to hold the event, do it in a location where it is lawful.

You're 10 ply, bud.

The pandemic was and has been proven to be a hoax. The CDC has all but apologized for it just in the last week or two.

Grow a pair, snowflake.

I’m not being an ass. I’m not in favor of the event. I’m asking him/her a question, and wasn’t being sarcastic. Maybe in terms of protest one might look at it differently, maybe not. It’s called discussion.

Relax numbnuts.

Shhhhhh..,,, it’s almost #4 on the causes of death. It’s about to pass the unintentional accident pandemic. It passed the stroke pandemic a month ago.

Yeah because a stroke is contagious. Try to get a clue.

Yeah, I didn't say don't have the tournament.   Just don't break the law to have a tournament.  If it's against the laws of the local township, hold it somewhere else.

Where you hold the tourney means little...

if you can have the event with absolutely no ill effects as has been proven repeatedly, perhaps the onus is then on the township to accept the realities and not the propaganda...

No, that's not how it works.  The onus is on you to follow the law.  If you don't like the town's law, go somewhere else.  There are plenty of towns where you can hold wrestling tournaments-I don't see the point is purposefully breaking the local ordinance. It makes wrestlers look bad to be so disrespectful to a community-to think a high school wrestling competition is more important than the law.

I don’t necessarily disagree with you...

but...

what is a “law” that is inherently unjust and ill informed?
