One of those is not like the others.

Yup, Little Rock is closer to the Gulf than the pacific.

Do you think anyone currently on the Little Rock roster has a chance at AAing or are they still a few years away from getting someone on the podium?

Yep - that's what happens your conference is run by idiots who completely fail to recognize the need to add teams in a timely fashion.  Rather than LITERALLY waiting till they could wait no longer before finally choosing to add ANY other school.

I have to wonder how long it will take the PAC 12 to add another school after Stanford ends their wrestling program next spring.   Will they once again wait till there is no more time left to do it?  As they did when they added Little Rock.

True that. Couldn't make a good decision to save a loved one’s life. Many over there seem to be not good for much of anything. I believe if Stanford follows through with the drop, the conference is done.

UNLV should add wrestling and become an affiliate.  We host so much crap in Vegas with 0 college programs to show for it. I'm sure Dana White and UFC guys would attend competition. I think it's past time for BYU to reinstate as well, but need more small school growth to happen.  You may see jucos in Oregon and Idaho out of NJCAA affiliation soon. D3 Pacific is way out there by itself in Oregon, next furthest west D3 is 45 minutes east of me in Lincoln, Ne. D2 situation rough to out west...SFSU and Simon Fraser come to mind, way to many schools without wrestling for the amount of participants in hs in that deserted area.

HWT Gabe Beyer was once a Penn State then an ASU commit. So there is one to keep an eye on. Bianchi at 133 is the best returner.

Stanford dropping next year I believe coincides with Cal Baptist going D1 officially. I don’t think cal baptist has any other good options for wrestling with a small budget. Also keep in mind that the FSU fiasco is still lingering and they have been wayyyy over budget. I don’t see them being able to travel and spend money like they have been. From a budget standpoint the pac 12 makes the most sense for both teams.

I don't like a carnival barker like Dana White affiliating himself with college wrestling.

What if that "carnival barker"  was funding programs to start up?   Arkansas as a state has wrestling programs because big money donor (singular).   I think White isn't a bad person to have in your corner, especially when he hires a lot of wrestlers and promotes the sport.

Why would jucos in Oregon and Idaho leave the NJCAA? And where would they go?

Is he funding programs? If so that would partially redeem him using our boys to line his pockets.

There's been a lot of drama at NIC within the last couple years, and I am not going to pretend like I know too much.

Essentially, I would say that it comes down to an unjust firing of Whitcomb by a (now former, fortunately) AD who had a beef with him. Since then, there has been talk of them joining the club ranks around the NW and out of the NJCAA. There has been a lot of push-back since then--as there should be--but I'm not too sure where they stand now.

Rhoden is very vocal about this matter and very supportive of every team being in the NJCAA.  In the last year he has asked people to support this. You are correct that there were problems with NIC and the AD. It’s been quiet and no change has been announced.

Because of their athletic directors trying to save money.  Those schools are only NJCAA in wrestling for the most part,  otherwise they are in this glorified super conference,  that treats Oregon, Idaho, and Washington as an equivelant to the CACC or NJCAA....   https://nwacsports.com/memberschools  Basically they go to that...they become NCWA.  There are a few schools out that way doing really well in NCWA,  and the athletic directors are talking.
