Interesting but I wouldn’t have called him a “nobody” at the 2000 Olympics. He beat Ghaffarri, the 1996 Silver Medalist who only lost to Karelin 1-0. 
 

At 2000-1 to beat Karelin, there HAD to have been more than a few people who took these results and put down some money on Rulon. I was 18 years old and couldn’t, but I’d have put at least $100 on it.
