jbai3_12 5 Report post Posted November 28, 2020 Here in Colorado first practice begins Jan 4th, with first competition Jan 7th. Twelve teams per tournament max, most tournaments are going to a dual tournament format. Not very optimistic about the season starting on time with the most of the counties in the state going to more restrictive measures. Curious where other states are at and how it is going for the states who have started official high school practices.
MadMardigain 1,273 Report post Posted November 29, 2020 Indiana started at its regular time and is already a couple weeks in. Teams are scrambling as some starters are being quarantined and to get matches as some events are getting canceled. Just going to have to take what you can and hope enough holds out to get a post season.

In NJ we normally get 3 weeks of preseason but this year practice will start March 1st with competition starting on the 16th. Season ends March 24th. But 3 days seems completely inadequate. Yes 3 days is completely inadequate, especially with kids coming right off of holiday break. I'm hoping we will have a march-may season as well, which seems much more reasonable with the current restrictions in Colorado.

OBXWrestler 98 Report post Posted December 29, 2020 North Carolina is going to a duals only format. Competitions start on April 26 and the state tournament is June 26th. The state tournament is a full month after our schools let out for summer. 1 RichB reacted to this

RichB 192 Report post Posted December 31, 2020 (edited) Earliest competition For Pa Jan 8, if the school has already had about 10 practice dates. with no practice dates so far, it would be the 14th. I think something similar to No Carolina makes more sense. Vaccinate the Wrestlers, coaches officials with underlying conditions.
