Zhamalov has to be very happy that the Olympics got postponed. In the last few months he's beaten 3 World Champs in Tsabalov, Sidakov and Chamizo. All of whom I'd believe if you told me they won the 2021 Olympics.

Fully agree it's been an awesome rise for him. I didn't know he beat Sidakov, NICE!!!
I do think he loses that Chamizo match 80% of the time. Great win though, Russia has a knack for winning these last second barn burners at 74kg. (I hate it)

I just finally watched the video, he knew right away he was hurt... Damn..... also saw the post you're talking about, that's horrible!

Looked like an MCL, and I hate to be cynical...but why on earth would you believe "the russian coach".

Well, I mean in fairness, I didn’t say “the Russian coach said, so it is so”. I just passed on what he said...

not a personal attack, just a comment, thanks for sharing.

I know it wasn’t. And I agree with you. Been there as a team leader. Have dealt with them. Can’t trust them any further than you can throw them. (And with my bad knees and shoulders I really shouldn’t be throwing anyone).

We start with Destribats (Rehterford's current claim to fame)  vs Papikyan for  Bronze...
Destribats looks tough early, I still cant believe he beat the train....
Dude has the slickest slide-by.....
2-0 Destribats at the break
TD 4-0 Des
Caution 1.... 5-0
2 stepouts later 5-2
Thats it.... Dest takes the Bronze

Skriabin was upset as time expired so we get a less exciting bronze....
Aliyev vs Mukhtarov
2-0 Aliyev
turn 4-0
4-1 Break
2 crotch lifts later 8-1
Aliyev injured by a foot to the nutsack (I thought) announcer is saying its the thigh... medics tending to the ribs.
 TD 2 Aliyev 10-1
Pushout 10-2
TD 10-4

A match I'm excited about
Muszukajev vs Tevanyan  (Offense vs Defense)
Tevanyan seems equally as athletic.... I think he may win this (still 0-0 Shot clock Musz)
These dudes must be tiny, for how stout they are.
1-0 Tevanyan
Break
Musz explodes and looks like an animal, for 0 points, still 1-0
1-1 (SC point) Musz leads on criteria
Nasty TD Tev,  3 guts later 9-1
Musz too tired to try anything....
9-1 Final Tevanyan winner

Shot clock 1-0 Myk
3-0 Myk 2 min left.... Im over this.

86kg seems like semi obvious outcomes but lets see. (Im only still watching for Sadulaev)
DeepImpact Punia vs Ianulov for the Bronze
1 Ianulov Stepout
Break
SC on DeepImpact 2-0 Ianulov
DeepImpact genuinely looks like he doesn't know any moves.
Shot clock Ianulov
this is the worst match to watch
 20 seconds left 2-1 Ianulov
8 seconds, Punia falls over. 4-1 Ianulov

2nd Bronze
Gocen  vs Friev this should be a decent one, I reckon I'll favor Friev
Friev gets a shotclock point
1-0 at the break, the paint i was going to watch dry had a guy brush up against it... probably would've been more exciting than these last few matches.
Gocen with a nice move for 2 oh snap, they give it 2 takedown 1 reverse for 3-1 Friev but I say "NO WAY" it's rightfully being challenged.
Guess that's why Im not a ref 4-1 Friev
Whoa 4-3 Friev 1:19 remaining
glad this one has picked up in sexy action
TD Gocen to take the lead 5-4 gut 7-4  gut 9-4
TD Firev 9-6 Gut, but reverse I dunno 11-6 says the scoreboard
Gocen take da bronze.  Time for the finals
