fullnelson 114 Report post Posted January 10 I believe Jackson beat Bob Golic, N.D., in the semis that year; Golic was in on a high crotch, but Jimmy's weight provided the necessary counter to stop any scoring by Golic. Bob went on to have a great career in the NFL.

littlepun 22 Report post Posted January 11 Dan Hicks used to come roll with me when I was a freshman at Oregon State in 88-89. That was such a valuable experience. I learned so much by just feeling what he did, he made me feel like a first year novice, but it was fun at the same time. 1 Gantry reacted to this

littlepun 22 Report post Posted January 12 15 hours ago, Gantry said: Ever get any TDs on Dan when rolling with him? I got a few. I had some tricks. My club in high school (Peninsula) had some hammers and Portland State guys were in there a lot, so I was pretty decent on my feet. I am absolutely sure he never went full speed with me. He was coaching me as we wrestled. The worst (and the best) part was top-bottom. He taught me a bunch of little things on the bottom that helped me to be an average college wrestler and I have passed them down to the kids I coach. When I was on bottom, it was like a cat playing with a mouse. I wish I had video of it. 1 Gantry reacted to this
