RED 102 Report post Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) I am a former Cornell wrestler who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma 4 years ago. Fortunately, I am still well enough to actively do something about it, which is why I am partaking in a fundraiser for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), raising money to help them find a cure. A couple years ago I partook in an arduous 10-day trek with my wife in Patagonia as part of MMRF’s Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma program. We managed to raise over $30,000, every cent going towards research - corporate sponsors cover the actual cost of the trip. This year I am off to Alaska, trekking in an area where rumor has it there are more Grizzlies than people! Below is a link that provides additional information on the program as well as my fundraising page. If you are a patient, spouse, care giver or medical professional, please donate if you can. Every little bit is appreciated and makes a difference. http://give.share-a-link.top/613lcbgf Edited February 3, 2021 by RED 1 hawkfan69 reacted to this
RED 102 Report post Posted July 31, 2021 I'm bumping this as I am off to Alaska in less than 2 weeks. After that, this will slide down the thread and most likely disappear!! I'm from a large wrestling family. After competitive wrestling, several of my siblings remained involved in coaching, administration and one brother is a D1 ref (who actually had the opportunity to ref an Ok. St. / Iowa U match!). Me, just an avid Cornell Wrestling fan. My sisters, they tolerate. Wrestling is a HUGE part of our lives. The wrestling community is FAMILY to me, which is why I am reaching out to you for assistance. So please, check out the link, take it in, and if you are in a position to donate, please consider it. Last, and certainly not least, I want everyone to know I am doing well with the battle. It's not going to go away, but I'm confident I will keep it at bay well into the future. THANK YOU https://give.themmrf.org/4mank
