nhs67 1,037 Report post Posted February 2 Amine is going 197 so I don't think he'll be a factor at 184. Brooks will be the #1 seed as the defending champion. The rest? Throw a damn dart board. I'll try to muck through it when matches are complete prior to B1G Individuals. 1 Michigan wrestling reacted to this

At this point, having watched what he did to Weiler today, it's hard to bet against him MAJ or TF everyone else he wrestles this year. Brands/Assad/other Iowa bum, Rocky Jordan, Cochran? All going to get wrecked.

Zahid beat him like 5-0 in a freestyle while Zahid is a 5th yr senior and brooks as a true freshman and now all of sudden he would major brooks? I mean maybe if zahid put away the short straw and the mirror but I’d still doubt it 1 3 ConnorsDad, IfYouAin'tFirstYou'reLast, dwkeller and 1 other reacted to this

I’m guessing AB gets the best of him at the senior level, and soon.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He just named folks that nobody typically considers as 1st or 2nd tier rather than Venz or Braunagel.Well, no, I listed Brooks’ remaining scheduled opponents. PSU isn’t wrestling Nebraska or Illinois this season, so I’m not sure why I’d list Venz or Braunagle as potential opponents/results that would factor into seeding.Plus whoever Rutgers, MSU and Michigan throw out there, if those matches are rescheduled.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 nhs67 reacted to this

That said, the only one that MIGHT be a match is UofM, and that is IF Amine goes 184. Which he'll be going 197.
Le duke 83 Report post Posted February 4 That said, I wouldn’t be opposed to PSU trying jump into Rutgers’ slot for the quad meet this weekend. Getting wins over Venz and Malczewski would boost his seed for the NCAA tournament. I’d be surprised if PSU hits Iowa at the rate things are going.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lyon looked fired up for the match with Brands, and Brands not so much. It was closer than the 6-1 score and the result could easily be reversed next time. Jordan has been a mystery for me this year. I thought he looked good going into the second half of last year, but something seems off mentally. Good overall day of wrestling though.

nhs67 1,037 Report post Posted February 8 I don't say that with 100% that he is going 197 either. I can say with 100% certainty that the only person to specifically state one weight for him is him and he said 184 was under his 189lb international class and followed that up with saying it was silly to go below it and he didn't want to. Everyone else is speculating what weight. UofM coaches have said nothing.
