Curious which alternate(s) you regard as the 3rd best on their team.

Team Three looks straight beastly wheras Team One has Johnny D and the rest.  Team One's 2nd and 3rd best wrestlers are the formerly retired Perrelli and Schafer, yes?

Yeah I guess Team One doesn’t look great after Yianni (although I guess Pyles will be glad to see Shawn Streck competing for Cowboy RTC since he asks about him every week on FRL).  Yeah Team 3 looks pretty good, although who is Jasmit Phulka? I like McKee and I know he’s good at FS but 65 looks pretty deep in this thing.    Will be curious if we see the battle of former Gophers with him and Lizak.

Canadian. Repped Canada at 79kg at worlds in 2018. Contender for Canadian 2021 spot at 74kg if he can qualify the weight (which is much easier with the US out of the way).

He isn’t that good compared to our world level guys, but he isn’t terrible. He would’ve been a D1 guy if he was American, and maybe even AAd. He probably is about on par with the rest of the field

Excited for matches of course, but I'm especially glad to see more opportunities to get some change in these wrestlers' pockets!

At the very least, half of the teams are going home with $1000 per wrestler. Then, there's individual bonuses based on placing. A single wrestler can go home with $5000 pre-tax if their team takes first and they're the best wrestler at their weight. Not bad for a domestic off-season tournament.

The womens' equivalent two days later has drastically lower bounties - $3000 to each wrestler on the winning team with no placement bonuses, just a $2K OW prize for a single wrestler - but still pretty great for a warm-up event like this. Really glad to have Titan Mercury backing the whole wrestling scene.

Aww, I was hoping to see Max and Gabe Dean wrestle each-other. Sucks that he’s an alternate behind Gabe.

I'm guessing that was intentional...

Or an alternate for 97 as well.

Saunders got some points but Hendo wins  a decision.

Him losing cost his team the dual.  Goos job bot putting the clear cut #1 65kg at this tournament to do what needs to be done.

Do the guys with College eligibility (Cornell) get paid?
