Fine by me. I'll take Brooks for the win. Btw, I was rooting for Hidlay tonite for just the reason you cited. Not that I don't think Brooks wins regardless of the draw - Brooks is the bad draw - but just because it probably makes it a little easier.

Whichever of them wins at NCAAs means nothing in regards to Brooks. Look at how many comments in this match tonite point to stalling. That says it all. I guarantee you that will not be what people talk about if either of them wrestle Aaron Brooks.

Fair enough. To be honest, I even said way back in the original post that I believed Brooks may very well prove to be better. However, it is more fun to get you guys going. So, I will stick to my guns.  No excuses at the end other than I will simply say Brooks is better if he wins.

You aren’t going to guilt trip me into anything, especially gambling. You have no idea my personal stance or experience with gambling and or people that have problems with it. You realize it is a disease to many, right?
With that said, I didn’t even say I wouldn’t do it. I said wait until brackets come out. If that is too hard for you, I really don’t care.  I can be just as happy without betting.

My stance on gambling..don’t bet what you can’t afford to lose. Personally I don’t gamble at casinos “I live in Jersey and AC is 40 minutes away.” I’ll bet in March Madness pool or Super Bowl pools stuff like that.

I like having skin in the game if it’s a small bet especially for charity. I lost a bet on HR last year because I didn’t think Kem would beat Hall. I donated to HWC and posted my receipt. Made me sick but it was all in fun and I don’t welch if I do bet.

You aren't even gambling here, imo. Brooks is gonna win. You would be stealin, pish, not gamblin. Ha ha.

Wait, you think you are stirring us up? Good one.

Yeah, well my stance is don’t bet unless it is something you can control, like on yourself(bowling, golf, some hold’em) and almost never on sports, unless I feel the odds are overwhelmingly in my favor. Obviously, I don’t feel Hidlay or Bolen are guaranteed winners. Saying. I will lock In My pick is a hell of a lot different than saying my picks are locks!

LOL. That is soooo quintessential MSU158 doublespeak. And you wonder why we go round and round.

That is literally word for word the truth. I locked in my picks. Meaning I can’t change them. In no world does that mean they are locks. If you can’t understand English, that isn’t my fault.

What!??! You’re funny. I’ll tell you what, I don’t come to this forum often anymore but I’ll check back before NCAAs. My bet stands if you want it.

That was 2 at the end of the O’Connor match. Should gone to OT. Honestly think the ref gave leniency because O’Connor slipped.

That wasn't why leniency was given.

Ref was a fan of GoT.  Get it straight.

Now we know what Lord Snow did the last time he went north of the wall.  He trained Folkstyle wrestling.

I’m tired and it’s morning. I’ve mostly forgotten about that show which turned into an abomination by the 8th season lol.

irregardless of reasons they blew the call and should’ve reviewed it

I was going to play Elsa and let it go.  I cannot.  You have offended me with your use of the word irregardless.  FOR.  SHAME.

As far as your misinterpretation of the last season(s) of GoT, I can forgive your lack of taste and preference there.

I haven’t been a fan of the reffing all day. There’s been a lot of blown calls throughout the day.

I only watched the finals but I thought the reffing there was very good.

I did rewind to double check that illegal cutback on Andonian and that looked right.  Stupid rule though IMO.  Didn’t rewatch  the ending though...in real time I thought it was close but not quite.

But in general, that O’Connor/Andonian match...wowzers

Inconsistent incoherent writing irritates me lol.

I actually have reasons to like O’Connor. I like how hard he wrestles. That doesn’t matter though, the match should’ve gone to OT

When you're told after Season 6 that you have two seasons to complete 5 seasons and limited time and resources, you have to make due.  The plan was always for 10 or 11 seasons, per conceptual contracts for most of the main characters and  DB/David with most of them having options for the 11th.  HBO said 'Woah.  That's 'spensive.' and decided two more seasons was all that was worth it to them.

Lord Snow is a stud.  Happy he got a challenge prior to NCAAs, though.  He needed it.

D and D forced the 8 seasons so they could move onto other projects

Just rewatched the end of O’Connor/Andonian.  Definitely no 2 for Andonian - O’Connor was already on his feet by the time O’Connor was behind him

It's really close, but I think you're right. It's hard to tell if O'Connor's left knee is down. Probably a good no-call.
