I'd move Marinelli up with the 2's. The 2 seed at 165 is Braunagel. The top 165 challengers are all outside the big ten. Also, Marinelli has been money at big tens the last 2 years.

Brooks behind Kem who has Labriola and Stevenson who has either Parris or Kerk?  Interesting

Yeah...just felt right as I was sitting there doing my business in the john...

I'd agree with that. I think over thought where to put him due to inactivity but you could say that for a lot of these guys

Inactivity is a good point, but I'm not sure Marinelli is a guy who would struggle with that. He's pretty much the same guy each time out. Kemerer is the hawkeye I'm most worried about on that front. He wrestled his way into shape/top form last year and didn't get a chance this year. I'm not sure we'll see his best version this weekend.

My main concern with Marinelli is if he was symptomatic when he had Covid. Covid can do a number on your lungs, especially the few weeks following recovery.

That's a good point. I did see in an interview he was talking about running outside in the cold during their shut down, so hopefully that means he didn't have any issues. We won't know until we see him.

1. Lee -125
2. Brooks-184
3. Marinelli-165
4. Bravo-Young-133
5. Deakin-157
6. Sasso-149
7. Steveson-285 (as long as Parris, Cassiopi, and Kerk all remain on the other side of the bracket)
8. Kemerer-174
9. Eierman (I think N. Lee from PSU wins)
10. Schultz (I think Amine from Mich wins)

It always surprises me that an Iowa guy like you is not higher on Eierman.

I'd imagine to some like @VakAttack Eierman to Iowa is like Andrew Long to Penn State. It counts but not really

Or that Lee could be the favorite and Rivera can spoil anyone’s day, more so of a possibility than some of those other weight class roads through the bracket

I agree. I was just joking around because Sanderson brought Andrew Long in to seal the deal for a title. Similar to Brands bringing in Eierman

Eierman-Lee will be interesting (if it happens). Eierman beat Lee 12-4 in 2018, but (I think) Lee beat Eierman in 2019 in freestyle.  I guess the rankings demonstrate that Eierman is the favorite, but I don't think anyone really knows how it will turn out.
