Plasmodium 2,224 Report post Posted March 7, 2021 Super tight heading into the finals. Looks like 141 could be key. Going into the finals: 1 Oklahoma 120.0 2 Ok State 112.0 3 Iowa State 109.5 4 Wyoming 105.5 OU. OSU, ISU with 3 finalists, Wyoming has 4, OU-OSU have 2 H2h matchups, both favoring OSU. I think it is ISU is a marginal favorite.

buf87 84 Report post Posted March 7, 2021 OU had the Mantanona boys go on a tear yesterday with 5 falls, I think. Wrestle another day and they could go 0-4.

Housebuye 2,419 Report post Posted March 7, 2021 (edited) Very tight Without bonus, here are maximum points I think: OU - Maximum 132+ bonus 120 points now, 3 finalists including vs Fix. OSU - Maximum 124+ bonus 112 points now, 3 finalists, all favorites ISU - Maximum 121.5+bonus 109.5 points now, 3 finalists, 1 heavy favorite WYO - Maximum 121.5 points+bonus 105.5 points now, 4 (!) finalists, all winnable but tough matches Edited March 7, 2021 by Housebuye
Housebuye 2,419 Report post Posted March 7, 2021 OU is a slight favorite to win it, but OSU is right there, especially if Fix can bonus and there aren’t any upsets against OSU for OU, Assuming they lose vs Fix, they just need one of Demas and Moore to win. Without bonus, that puts them at 124. Unless OU loses all 3 matches and ISU loses at hvwt (assuming Carr wins), OSU needs to win all 3 finals. They are favorites in all 3. Assuming Fix pins and nobody else bonuses, they will beat OU 126-124 WYO needs everything to go right and some bonus. They could theoretically go 3/4 and win, but it’s very unlikely ISU and chances lie at 141. If ISU loses, it is very unlikely they win, even with 2 pins in the finals (would have 121.5)
Housebuye 2,419 Report post Posted March 7, 2021 In other words, if OSU sweeps the finals, they will most likely win. 2 of them are vs Oklahoma, so those wins are huge.
Housebuye 2,419 Report post Posted March 7, 2021 If Moore wins at 149, there is almost no scenario where OSU wins, and almost certainly OU wins

Jbolstead 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2021 (edited) OSU team point - can you offer specifics? OU was decking guys last night and got a very fortunate medical forfeit at 197 today that pushed them well ahead. Ferrari was an unsuccessful challenge for back points away from a major. It seems they should have been awarded. Ferrari is a rare breed and gotta love that he led an O-S-U chant during each of Buchanan’s blood timeouts!
