VENZ vs BROOKS -

Brooks front headlock position, Venz down to mat.  Whistle.  Venz goes for it low and gets to an ankle and captures both and 2!   Brooks out and  fires, has leg up.  Near edge.  Gets the 2!  3-2 Brooks.  Venz posting up.  B heavy on left side.  V fire a bit quelled here.  Brooks doing nothing on top at all.  No attempt to do anything.  Venz head down, now up, now down.  THIS IS WHY PEOPLE DON"T LIKE FOLKSTYLE.  Venz trying a bit here.  But not much.

STALLING ON BOTH.  Brooks literally doing nothing.  Venz ok to let him lay on top of him.

Brooks down.  Venz threatening banana split.  Brooks threatening but Venz in contol.  No more as Brooks get left leg free, turn around Venz and gets reversal.   Great.  More of nothing?  Venz to feet. Turns in to get a leg, Brooks lifts it away and they separate.  Esc.  Venz does a bad shot, and Brooks gets behind.  7-3.  VENZ flat on belly and has NO interest in building up.  None.  Stalling.  But no call.  Don't get it.

3rd period.  Venz posts up but then turtles up again.  head down.  Brooks doing NOTHING on top again.  Just pressing forward.  Thigh grab press foward.  Stalling on Brooks.  Finally.  My god refs. Come on!!  Restart.  Venz to feet.  And out.  7-4.  1 min to go.  Venz shoots but bad position as Brooks gets behind.  Brooks let's him up. 9-5.  26 sec.  Front headlock position for brooks.  Stalemate.  And then .. done.

Brooks wins 10-5 with RT.

Seriously.    That second period for about a minute and a half was about as textbook double stalling as you can get.  If that wasn't double stalling then I don't know what is.

So? Isnt Kemmerer also a great student? Why should any one care that he his old when he has been following the rules that allow him to continue to compete?

Bc even Van Wilder had to move on to real world eventually

it’ll be his 7th year, kids that were freshman in high school when he started college will be juniors in college, and yet he’s still competing against 18 yr olds

Schultz about to shock everyone

I don't think it's going to shock everyone if the 1 seed 197lber defeats the 2 seed who wrestled Hall for the 174lb B1G championship last time he competed at the B1Gs.

He has like 3 foot of wingspan and 2 foot of height on Amine.

Unless you're saying he's going to shock everyone by performing very, very poorly...

... he is getting his education paid for. It would be stupid not to take advantage of this, and the rules allow it, if not encourage it. Your issue is with the NCAAs, but thats a pretty dumb hill to die on Id say.

Man.  Poz with the 3rd place finish.  Him and Van Brill wrestled out of their minds to come back for 3rd for Rutgers.

I don’t think Poz wrestled out of his mind, I think he’s just been that good from the start, not much national attention coming from a small high school , and he couldn’t beat Foca so he only won 1 state title but the kid is real deal and just keeps better every year

Before Gable’s match,  note that I’m out and can’t watch it so can everyone agree not to say who wins for a couple of hours.?

Wouldn't it be easier for you to just wear ear plugs for 2 hours?  ;)

M. Amine vs Schultz.  197.

M in on right leg.  Holds, S trying for a foot, Amine rotating and brings S hips down and covers both legs.  TWOOO!    Schults going left right left right pulling Amine's head down as he stands upright to do it so Amine said ok and goes down to Schultz's legs and gets 2.  Love that .. seriously.  4-1 Amine.

Schultze to feet.  Out.  S in on left leg.  whizzer in.  PD called for Amine's knee.  20 sec to go in first.   S snaps and goes but Amine ready.

2nd period.  Amine down .. and out with standup.  Hard snap by S.  Amine steps back and then bam, goes in low on right leg.  But he is crunched under.  Stalemate.  S goes in for high crotch but down to mat as Amine cutting corner.  Both stop moving.  Stalemate.  50 sec to go.  Playing mercy with both hands.  10 sec.  Amine backing to edge.  Period over.

3rd period.  Guy to Bormet's right has the hairstyle of the year.

S out.  5-3.  S goes low, gets right leg, but Amine threatening corner as S flattend out.  Restart.  Amine gets to high right leg hold but crunched under.  whistle.  And S in again, but again S flattened and Amine through crotch.  Amine backing, S fires, A turns in and S goes out.  S comes in, A back to edge, S fires.  A stall call.  24 sec.  A backing again.  S is going as he should but gets into awkward way and A covers him for 2.  7-3 win.
