Most wins, least hardware/Least wins, MOST hardware

Recommended Posts

Was wondering which wrestler has the greatest record and the least hardware to show for it? Also which guys lost a bunch of matches, but brought their A-game whenever NCAA titles were on the line. The latter is easy: Jake Rosholt. Guy lost a bunch of matches for a 3 time NCAA champ, but he sure as hell brought it at NCAAs. Who can you guys think of?

My guess would be Gerry Abas. (4,2,2,2)...134 career wins

If Trenge doesn't get knocked off by Stender, Rosholt would only be a 2Xer

Jim Scherr from Nebraska.

109 collegiate wins  and hailing from the old Big 8 Conference...a 1st and a 6th at NCAAs.

Surprisingly, he only placed once at State his SD high school career in 4 trips - his senior year when he won it all.

A late bloomer of late bloomers!  He did manage 2 World Silvers plus an Olympic Team berth.
