Real Woods was ROBBED

Recommended Posts

He was trailing and made a miraculous move to avoid being taken down and turned it into a takedown of his own AND had his opponent on his back for what seemed like ten seconds.  The ref gave him the 4 point near fall points.  Then it was challenged and after more than 10 minutes they decided he should be robbed of his 4 near fall points.  This was a travesty.

I watched the match and agree with you.  It should have been a pin.  Never should have been overturned for illegal application. smh

what was the illegal hold/move that they called? (and they didn't take away the 4, they took away 6 and awarded a penalty point the other way. insane swing.)

Similar to the move that Mark Shultz did to break Karabacak's arm in the '84 Olympics.  It was ruled illegal and Mark barely avoided being disqualified.  Instead they assigned a special referee to monitor all his matches.

This looks like the refs got it right in review, but talk about shutting the barn door after the horse gets out!  I remember this ref at a Rocky Mountain Nationals event that was so incompetent and asleep at the wheel he literally watched a wrestler punch an opponent in the face three times. He then penalized the one that got punched for shoving.
