Gantry 1,872 Report post Posted August 5, 2021 (edited) I'm not arguing at all that it wasn't a fortunate draw but I don't think any foul play was involved as the odds weren't that crazy for it to happen. Edited August 5, 2021 by Gantry
Drew87 349 Report post Posted August 5, 2021 I cannot remember a more stacked weight class than 65kg. Just reading those names, it is not as much of a disappointment that we couldn’t qualify. This weight class is absolutely jammed full with unreal talent. 1 jmachinder reacted to this

It is still highly disappointing to not qualify the weight. This is a country that not too long ago won the team title. For whatever reason, 65 kg has been one of our weakest weights for a very long time.

That’s because the critical mass of talented wrestlers in the US (the 60-75kg range) have to focus on riding time rather than gut wrenches
PRyan2012 347 Report post Posted August 6, 2021 Yes Saritov beat Cael for bronze in 2011. Only time in my life did I see Cael be held scoreless. Lost 2-0 This was also Cael's last match of his career but came after a 7 year layoff.

uncle bernard 1,112 Report post Posted August 6, 2021 @LJB you see how active Sharifov was underneath defending that gut? Looked like a greco match for a second. Didn't matter because Sadulaev is inevitable.
Billyhoyle 2,469 Report post Posted August 6, 2021 John Smith clearly hasn't watched football for years, seeing as he thinks the fullback is still a position that exists.

TBar1977 4,481 Report post Posted August 6, 2021 Sadulaev beat Sharifov 5-0. TD to a Gut, then a 2nd period step out. Sharifov never took a shot.

Drew87 349 Report post Posted August 6, 2021 Sadulaev had a bad cut, russian coaches have a conversation with the azeris, sharifov gets some new home appliances, maybe a car, and gets to wrestle back for bronze. 1 DocBZ reacted to this
Drew87 349 Report post Posted August 6, 2021 Unless peak snyder shows up today, he will be lucky to bronze. This weight is murderers row.

denger 339 Report post Posted August 6, 2021 Sadulaev conserving energy, I guess. Got a little dance in with Sharifov. Both walked away like they wanted a nap.
