I'm terribly disappointed that we may have missed the only chance to see Sidakov/Dake but as a consolation prize I hope we get to see a Dake/ Kadzimahamedau Kadimagomedov rematch

Why do you think it could be the only time for Dake-Sidakov?

They could always face each other at the 2022 Ivan Yarygin, European Qualifying tournament, or any other prestigious tournament.  The World Championships are a last resort.

Dake should still be a player for the next few years, and Sidakov will be the guy to beat at 74kg.

If you think Dake and Sidakov could wrestle at the European Qualifying tournament or the Euro Championships then you do not understand how Continental competitions work.

Whole preliminary list. Interesting, Sad seems to be there.

So thats who they are sending out as of today barring injury?

Surprised to see Taha at 125. The Turkish wrestlers are so wishy washy with their future. First Taha said he wanted to quit after Gable, then he looked unusually  happy about the bronze, and now he is going to this after sounding like he wants a long break before getting ready for paris. Riza did this too. He said this was his last tournament then nope changed his mind to Paris (but isn't entered in the prelims).  Geno is there too, thought he'd want to get away from wrestling for a while  after losing like that in the final of the sports most important event.

97, 86 , and 125 have all the top guys for now.

For GR looks like Russia is sending the A team full stop.  Gogi wanted to sit the medalists  but after the B/C guys did so poorly at Gedza at 130 and 60 kg his hand was forced.  And looks like Evloev had enough clout to get on the team despite the depth. He is chasing Balboshin and he is no spring chicken. A win would put him within one cycle.

The list on the UWW site can't be right.  If you look at the USA MFS entries alone, there are some oddities such as:

57 lists both Gilman and Vito.
61 lists Graff when we haven't had our trials yet.
65 lists Yianni when we haven't had our trials yet.
74: lists both Dake and McFadden.
79 lists JB when we haven't had our trials yet.
86 lists both DT and MyMar.
92 lists J'Den when we haven't had our trials yet.
97 lists both Snyder and Macc
125 lists Gwiz when we haven't had our trials yet.

Also, with respect to 74 has Chamizo confirmed he is skipping?  And has Kadzi from BLR and Bekzod both confirmed they are moving up to 79 for this?

I didn't scroll down and even see those lists.

Thanks for this, Jon. This is the type of content that has been missing since Nomad left and you seem way less creepy. Keep up the good work.

Nomad never came close to this level of expertise. ever. at any level of wrestling.

this is great, great work.
