Because he was trying to grow into it while not cutting any weight.  That’s where he fit best for the team.  They had the Alton’s already at 141 and 149.

133 was his best weight. The only reason he ever wrestled 157 was to give the littler kids a chance.

No, Bubba did not, tho Cael ran him off. That's why he was still around to pin DT in the NCAA finals.

And then he did graduate right?  I think the plan was for Bubba to go 149 but he didn’t want to.

Eventually he graduated (or at least ran out of eligibility). But the issue was whether DT went 157 (when some said he really could have been at 141) because PSU had no one else at 157. In fact, PSU had a future NCAA champ at 157.
