Even without any of the top dogs it's still a tough ask, but I hope you're right. There's a few pretty significant landmines

Early in college he was a lot lighter than we thought. He was 215 in HS.

Props on Benny Frank (I'm gonna start saying that) But as much as there's not the same elite level of wrestlers in the weight that we're used to. There's multiple Yainni level guys (from the names people have been throwing around) 15% chance I'll say

Red95 80 Report post Posted September 29, 2021 (edited) Valdes has an amazing resume but I can’t unsee that match vs. Kazakhstan in Tokyo where he was up 9-0 and lost 21-11. Dude was gassed beyond recognition and was just getting rag dolled at the end. Edited September 29, 2021 by Red95

Perhaps- it depends which version of Tevanyan shows up- the one who won the Euro Olympic qualifier final 9-0 over Aliyev or the one who went 0-1 without scoring a point in Tokyo (albeit against Rashidov). Yeah I mean I think most versions of Tevanyan lose to Rashidov. But I also think most versions of everyone at the weight lose to the (widely accepted) #1 guy. I appreciate the effort but he's the favorite here. 1 bnwtwg reacted to this

spladle08 1,171 Report post Posted September 30, 2021 15%? Yianni is special. You’re about to see. At a weight we never medal at, giving him a better than 1 in 10 chance of winning the title in an extremely depleted bracket seems fair. What do you think would've been a more accurate #? spladle08 1,171 Report post Posted September 30, 2021 15%? Yianni is special. You’re about to see. In the least disrespectful way (cause I like Johnny D alot ) he just lost to Joey McKenna....
