Worlds Day 2 57/65/79/92kg

Recommended Posts

Good call. He got teched.
Yeah when he was fending off takedowns in the first and the fired off a takedown for a lead of his own with 30seconds left in the first against a much better opponent... "He looks good" seems like the proper sentiment.

I guess he looked bad at that point?

Good experience for Seabass, needs to learn FS more as he doesn't have the positioning yet on his shots.  Yaz quite a bit bigger too, 61 is where he needs to be long term.

Right? When he shot that low single and didn't even try to advance (literally laid flat on his stomach as soon as Yaz sat the corner) I thought "he is not confident in this positions at all" .

Just experience and he can become a landmine

Agree completely @spladle08 - lots of good to take out of Rivera's performance.  Good thing is that he's competitive on his feet and has a good mindset when down.  It'll take time but he can have some senior level success once he develops more freestyle habits and positioning.

Yanni wants to shoot from space and struggles to create offense off of ties against the better guys.  He needs to keep working towards having more of his own offense, plenty of time to get there though.
Oh yeah! .
He didn't have an opportunity to get funky once Tev picked up that leg, he just drove threw YD ..... Tough loss. If he ends up with bronze he will have beat some good guys to do it . Let's see what Tevanyan does

Yeah, and all of his leg shots except one went to his left. No chance for a followup move or reshot either.
