I'm guessing Flo is just showing what it would be using American rules.

I do not think that is right Gimp - Right now the UWW site shows:

USA - 75 pts

Russia WF - 63 pts

Iran -  56 pts

That scoring only includes the 4 weights that are complete.  The scoring shows 25 pts for Gold, 20 pts for Silver, 15 pts for Bronze and 10 pts for 5th Place.   There are also points given out for placing lower than 5th -  For example the Russian 125 kg guy lost to Akgul and failed to make repacharge but received 8 points.  There are other guys who earned point totals of 2, 4, or 6. 

 

Flo's current point total shows:

Iran - 146 pts

RSW - 143 pts

USA - 135 pts

I am just guessing but I would assume that Flo is just locking in minimum Placing points based on where the brackets are now and including that in the totals.  IE anyone in the finals gets the point total for a Silver medal. 

If anyone knows exactly how the scoring works I would like to hear an explanation of how points are decided after the 5th place guys.  I think it is pretty straightforward for Gold, Silver, Bronze, & 5th but those other placement points will probably decide the team title in this race.

FloArena also has team scores that auto-generate as they are earned throughout the tournament. 

Hi Jon - What Aztec put above is very helpful -

1st — 25

2nd — 20

3rd-3rd — 15

5th-5th — 10

7th — 8

8th — 6

9th — 4

10th — 2

Can you offer any kind of explanation of how the 7th to 10th places  are determined?  As I said earlier at 125 kg the Russian who lost to Akgul is in 7th place the Egyptian (Hemida) who lost to that Russian got 8th, the Ukrainian who lost in the 1/4s is in 9th and Pole who lost to Akgul in the 1/8 round is 10th.  The Austrian and Belorussian who lost in reparcharge didn't place.  It all seems rather random.

Places 7 thru 10 are determined by how many classification points they earned during the tournament. 

Win by fall, default, DQ — 5 classification points

Win by technical superiority (10 pts / 8 in greco) — 4

Win — 3

Lose, but score points in the effort — 1


Ties are broken by:
- The most victories by “Fall”
- The most match won by superiority
- The most technical points scored
- The fewest technical points given
- The lowest seeds number (if applicable)
- The lowest draw number
