Wrestling championships in Budapest

Recommended Posts

Yes please advise the price. Budapest was the best worlds I had ever been to. Even over New York.

Best three:

Budapest

New York

London

Worst three:

Baku....Place was a nightmare. Really thought I was gonna get kidnapped.

Bejing.. Hotel nightmare and alot of red tape. Bad attendance

Krasognoy in Siberia.. Great crowd but nothing else good.

Budapest has long been on my short list of places to go and see in Europe. I have German friends who have been all over Europe and love Budapest. It's a less commercialized old world kind of European experience. I figure, why not visit the city, see the sites while at the same time check out some world class wrestling. September is an ideal time to go. I hope the package is a good deal, otherwise I may look into putting together an affordable package of my own and still go, maybe as a small group.

Saw this post on this forum from another thread posted by "Quanon" in 2011:

2012: London, UK - Aug 5-12

2013: Budapest, Hungary - Sep 16-22

2014: Tashkent, Uzbekistan - Sep 8-14

2015: Undecided: Las Vegas / Sochi, Russia / Malmo, Sweden / Tampere, Finland - Sep 7-13

Thanks. I think Vegas for 2015 is now official.

One day I'd like to go to some of these

I have talked to a couple of guys on here about Budapest. I will say it again, it has been the best worlds location I have been to including New York and Atlanta. It is a mid evil type perfect mid-large city that has a great downtown with festivals. It is mostly eastern europe feeling with western europe economy if you know what I mean. Really unique capital city. I am German by descent-very german type feeling with a more rural type feel. Very friendly safe place. everyone was glad to see us there-that was pretty cool. If any of you can go I would suugest trying to go this year even over Vegas in 2015. Also the food was great!

Tell us the price of the package when you know.

Sorry for the delay. I had to adjust the package because of the flight, so I'm just waiting on my contact in Budapest to adjust the price for the land portion. As soon as he gets back to me, tonight or tomorrow morning, I will get back to you.

For the four star hotel with daily buffet breakfast for 7 nights (DBL room), 3 round trip hotel to wrestling event (freestyle), half day (4hr) Budapest tour, and a farewell dinner cost $970 per

person. As far as the flight to Budapest, it is 300 cheaper to book your own flight compared to having a group flight leaving from the same airport. Lastly, the Hungarian wrestling federation has yet to have any information on ticket prices for the World Championships. My contact in Budapest told me the Hungarian federation said they would have ticket prices by the end of June. I find it completely ridiculous, but its out of my hands at the moment. Let me know your thoughts.
