Jimmy Cinnabon 411 Report post Posted December 4, 2021 (edited) 20-16 PSU wins. PSU had a few guys out with the flu, but this further solidifies my point that PSU is not a title threat this year. 125 is still a hole. 157 and 165 look to be holes too. Barraclough doesn't appear to be the answer, neither does Joe Lee. Iowa and Michigan look to be favorites at this point. ionel 2,433 Report post Posted December 4, 2021 Pastry Dough Active Time 15 minutes Total Time 1¼ hours Four ingredients and a quarter of an hour are all that's required to turn out the ultimate pastry dough. Ingredients Makes 1 (9-to 9½ inch) pie or tart shell 1¼ cups all-purpose flour 1 stick cold unsalted butter, cut into ½-inch pieces ¼ teaspoon salt 3 to 5 tablespoons ice water Step 1 Blend together flour, butter, and salt in a bowl with your fingertips or a pastry blender (or pulse in a food processor) just until mixture resembles coarse meal with some roughly pea-size butter lumps. Step 2 Drizzle 3 tablespoons ice water evenly over mixture and gently stir with a fork (or pulse in processor) until incorporated. Step 3 Squeeze a small handful: If it doesn't hold together, add more ice water, ½ tablespoon at a time, stirring (or pulsing) until incorporated, then test again. Do not overwork dough or pastry will be tough. Step 4 Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface and divide into 4 portions. With heel of your hand, smear each portion once or twice in a forward motion to help distribute fat. Gather dough together, with a pastry scraper if you have one, and press into a 5-inch disk. Chill, wrapped in plastic wrap, until firm, at least 1 hour. Cooks' note: Dough can be chilled up to 3 days 1 1 denger and AHamilton reacted to this

dmm53 607 Report post Posted December 4, 2021 (edited) Two National Champs were out. The flu was reportedly going through the team. It likely affected Nick Lee. RBY would have won 133. Penn State forfeited 285 though Kerk could have/would have gone if necessary, and in fact he wanted to wrestle. (Cael held him out.) Even ignoring 133, the final score would likely have been 24 (or 25) to 10. That doesn't sound particularly close. (Factor in a win at 133, and the score was probably 27-6.). Yea, I know ... excuses, but it's early December. Edited December 4, 2021 by dmm53

RBY would have won at 133, and you know it. Admit it. He's the returning National Champion. I was at the match at U Penn and saw Kerk was ready to go. Cael held him out and forfeited once Penn State had an insurmountable lead. Finally, you can also learn of some semi-inside information from the PSU radio broadcast (the announcer is privy to what was going on), along with the PSU board. Now, would you like me to predict when your wife is going to leave you ... if she hasn't done so already?

red blades 363 Report post Posted December 4, 2021 2 minutes ago, SetonHallPirate said: This is unfortunately true... I've accepted this is a fact of life in the sport - duals don't matter, they are just a format for individual matches. And since there is little consequence for holding guys out, I really can't fault coaches for setting the lineup strategically based on what will ultimately help (or not help) seeding in March. We really shouldn't expect differently.
