I haven't seen any info on who may be wrestling.  Anyone?  @Jon_Kozak @Uwwdoc

Haven't heard specifics yet but USA should send a good squad of athletes to the above tournaments listed along with the Yasar Dogu at the end of February. We'll also be able to put out the wrestlers who will be competing on Feb 12th at the Bout in the Ballpark soon.

If Yianni goes to Dogu, does Zain show up too?

I would hope Zain would show up period.  Although with COVID and protocols and such who knows. Deglane has a seven day, "quarantine" and multiples of test' for the un-vaccinated upon arrival. No idea how that compares to past international events...

In terms of US guys I imagine first one up to have some notable names will be Ivan Yariguin. But also not heard much to be honest.

I look forward to hearing the Feb 12th Iran vs USA line up.

Clearly Johnny is Johnny but I have semi high hopes that Lugo develops into a Metcalf (which is just a Zain but still, an occasional world beater), and also Fartsmeller I know he's underwhelmed so far but he's competitive, a few adjustments and he's a Ringer level guy

Metcalf and Lugo couldn't be more different wrestlers.  Lugo is like 4'6" tall.  Metcalf has an undending tank.  The only similarity they have, at all, is that they both transferred in to Iowa.

Oh and they both have the letter 'L' in their last names.

The L was my starting point.
The epitome of what's been referred to as "Iowa style" was my next factor .
Super stingey defense was Numero 3.
Generally limited but strong offense..
Unexpected losses.

I'm telling you Metcalf Lite.
And he can 2-1 his way to ruining our national team anyday of the week
